Good free breakfast. Walking distance to Carabba's and Outback Steakhouse. Nice hotel for the cheap price of $39 per night

Stayed while travelling to pick up daughter.Posted Jan 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it each time. It's close and convenient to the highway for further travel, comfortable for an overnight stay as I use it for, and in walking distance to an Outback restaurant which is perfect for a relaxing dinner after a long drive. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Just what I neededPosted Sep 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
I just needed to stop over for a night before continuing my trip to Florida from Illinois and it was exactly what I was looking for. A clean and comfortable place to rest after a long day of driving with good food very nearby. We ate dinner at the Outback - one of our favorite restaurants - which was only about 100 yards away and walked right back to the Sleep Inn and did just that. Slept in. The room was clean and comfortable, the people at the front desk checked us in and out quickly and efficiently, and we were back on our way. It was just a block off the highway so the driving was convenient also. Highly recommended for this type of need.

My first impression as I walked to the front desk was yuck! Lobby area looked like there might be construction going on somewhere around the hotel and definitely had not yet reach the lobby. Desk personnel were nice enough but a little scattered as my information had to be repeated a couple of times. I was asked for my credit card; I mentioned that I had prepaid through Hotels.com and it was returned to me. I think I would have been charged twice if I had not mentioned this. I used the back corridor hallway to access my room. There was no need to use the key as the lock on the door was broken and could easily been accessed by anyone regardless of whether they were a patron or not. My door did not shut well and I had to use the bar and ball lock to assure my room was not accessible while I sleep. As a woman traveling alone, this did not make me feel secure. They were nice enough to have turned on the air conditioning for me and this was fortunate because I am not sure how bad the musty smell might have been had the room been at all warm. I took off my shoes and immediately put them back on because the carpet felt so dirty. I washed at the sink because the shower was so grungy. On the positive side, the bed was clean and comfortable so I slept well and the location was good for my trip (although a little hard to navigate to from highway). I chose this hotel for cost efficiency. I think I might spend a little more next time for a little better experience.
