Excellent Hotel in good location.Posted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: The location and the quality of the hotel overall.
Cons: Breakfast for coeliacs.
Location: The location was good as it was not too far from the main town and could be easily walked and a bus back.
The bedroom and bathroom was very modern, clean and fresh. The hotel staff were very helpful when you needed assistance though since I am a coeliac there was no gluten free cereal or gluten free bread to toast for breakfast and having rice cake for an alternative was not very appertizing.

Closer to the front than we expected lovely walksPosted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Location and room with sea view was lovely
Cons: Pigeons in the morning outside when having breakfast was a nuisance
Location: Location was great easy bus in Funchal lovely walks close by and the lido was easy to walk to if you like a dip in the sea lovely eating places close
Everything from being picked up from airport to checking in the room we asked for was supplied lovely balcony with sea view just made the whole experience wonderful we only had bed and breakfast because we are not so keen on the Buffett style meals that go cold very quickly of an evening, the breakfast was very nice and plentiful with lots of choices.lots of lovely restaurants around to choose from leenos on the front was exceptional .bus into Funcal was easy to get around. All in all we had a very nice week and would choose this hotel again.

Lovely hotel in a good locationPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The hotel was very well maintained and clean. The location was better than expected, really good.
Cons: The room cleaning time could be a little more consistent
Location: Location is ideal. Yellow bus tour is helpful to get bearings Restaurants - Olives, Atlantic, Mamma Mia's
The hotel is lovely all the way through, from the reception right through to the rooms. We had bed and breakfast. The breakfast was lovely, even on the last morning when we had to have an early start. The pool area was kept very clean, friendly bar staff, lovely food. The location is good, in the middle of lots of restaurants and shops. Would recommend this hotel.

June BreakPosted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: Rooms and not to busy in June. Friendly staff. Location.
Location: Tropical gardens. Walk into town and try the cable car. Shopping good, plenty of places to eat. Tea at reids.
Large comfortable rooms, cleaned every day. Clean bedding and towels when u wanted them. Free safe, large flat screen tv and hair dryer in room. Pool area very nice, plenty of sunbeds with brollies, good bar area serving lunch time food. Waiters bring your drinks to you. We stayed bed and breakfast, all very good. Plenty of places to eat in the evening. Evening entertainment at the hotel usually a singer. This was our third visit to Maderia and we will be returning again.

What an awesome stayPosted May 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is beautiful and the staff were wonderful. The hotel is located in a great spot which is great for catching the hop on hop off bus. The resturant for breakfast was wonderful and had lots to choose from. The staff in the resturant were so nice and funny to get along with. I would definately recommend to stay there when your in Funchal.

a pleasant place to stayPosted Apr 26, 2014
Pros: spacious, clean and comfortable room with side ocean view - we could both sit on balcony and enjoy the view
Cons: disappointed that sauna was an extra e22 per person per day - too expensive - should be in room price in a 5* hotel
Location: The Monte gardens are excellent. levada walk from Monte to Camacha was pleasant. Baia d'Abra is a must-see! spectacular views.
good location - right on the seafront, although 3km to the main town. however, buses quick and cheap. hotel breakfast was excellent - wide selection of foods to suit all tastes. outdoor pool was excellent - very large, and a comfortable temperature. nice and quiet between 5-6pm.

Very nice modern hotel with a lovely view :-)Posted Apr 25, 2014
We had a great stay in this hotel. The room had a balcony with side view of the sea and sun in the evening so it was perfect to relax. Good breakfast buffet, nice staff and pool area. You could easily walk in to the centre of Funchal in 20-25 minutes, but there was a lot of different restaurants in the area around the hotel.
