This hotel is well situated in Funchal and offers a well maintained range of facilities.Excellent indoor and outdoor pools plus gym and spa etc. Very good breakfast and service from all departments.

had a fab time we knew it would be mostly older people staying(they were right)but we had a lovely time weather was nice ,people and staff helpful and food and wine good,what more do you need!!

“A very convenient place to stay in Maderia”

I would agree with others its not quite 5 star but still an excellent hotel. Convenient walking distance in to Funchal and to a significant number of local restaurants. Rooms are very spacious and breakfast and the swimming pools are superb. The only area of caution if you have a hire car there are only 10 parking spaces and with a 500 room hotel can cause problems and could end up paying 7 euros a day in a local car park. Dont let this put you off as the hotel is well worth it and from what I could see the limited parking applied to a the local hotels.

Lovely hotel, nice indoor and outdoor pool & jacuzzi. Nice restaurants close by. Closest hotel to Funchal - lovely restaurants by the boats - but note the garlic bread isn't free! Big room - side rooms have sea view. Bathroom has speakers in it so you can hear tv and a massive glass window into the room so you can shower and watch tv!

Excellent breakfast. The buffet evening meal is good value.Buffet is not every evening though. Beautiful gardens and pool area Very relaxing and cofortable. Helpful and very pleasant staff. The only draw back is the big hill coming back from town. However you could get a taxi or bus. Would not recommend restaurants by the harbour however good restaurants near the hotel in the opposite direction to town. This hotel is the nearest to town. You feel very safe in Madeira.

“Location location location”

This was our 4th holiday in Madeira and we had stayed at a different hotel each time. We shall return to the Casino Park as its location at the top of the hill leading to the town centre is superb. Make sure that you book a room on the garden side and on the top two floors for wonderful views across the town. The gardens are on the cliff top overlooking the port from where we watched the comings and goings of the fishing fleet and the cruise liners. We would not recommend dining in as the food was standard hotel buffet fare. Within a couple of hundred yards is a street full of cosy restaurants and the old town with even more choice is but a brisk walk away. Breakfasts were excellent with plenty of fruit and breads as well as full English and freshly made omelettes and pastries.
