“Best hotel on the island!”

Wow, An oasis of calm and a superb setting for plant lovers. Location is excellent, near to restaurants and 30 min walk/easy bus to town. Gardens were beautiful, staff friendly, breakfast excellent. Health spa was lovely - with a relaxation room and gingko tea. The cocktail party was a new idea and great to meet the owner, staff and other guests and taste some madeira wine! Hiring a car from the hotel was easy. Our first holiday in Madeira and we'll be back. We won't be staying anywhere else.

“A Garden Oasis”

Quinta da Casa Branca more than lived up to our expectations - perfectly set in a garden oasis away from Funchal's hotel strip. The staff went out of their way to ensure that all our needs and requests were promptly responded to. We would have no hesitation in recommending it, and look forward to staying there again.

“Expectations pleasantly exceeded”

The hotel was excellent - discretely professional, contemporary styling and fantastic well-kept grounds which were a joy to behold. The restaurant and breakfasts were first class, the multi-lingual staff were friendly and helpful and its small scale gave the place a nice intimate quality. I am normally a stern judge of the many hotels I stay in but I can honestly say that this one pleasantly exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it to others.

“A lovely place”

The hotel is set in a beautiful and established garden with views towards Funchal and the sea. The building itself has won prizes for the architect. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is very good, as are the snack lunches. We did not dine at the hotel. The bedrooms are a reasonable size and have little patios or balconies with loungers. Because the hotel has only 43 bedrooms, the service seems very personal. We hope to return.

“Excellend hotel with stunning gardens”

This hotel is one of the nicest I have stayed at. The facilities were good- gym, sauna, swimming pool etc. and beautiful gardens. Staff couldn't have been more pleasant. The breakfast was great- the most fantastic fresh fruit and muesli. We were offered an upgrade to a superior room, but the normal room was absolutely fine. The only slight disappointment was the restaurant where we dined one evening. I didn't think the food matched up to the prices but service and wines were great.

By far one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, location excellent, breakfasts excellent, gardens great, staff superb, could not fault it in any way. Not suitable for disabled, because of location on very steep hill, saying that , taxis and public transport were very good.

“beauty and tranquillity”

We arrived at night and the reception area created the first impression with its white sofas, colourful cushions and low coffee tables with a few flickering candles on each, gleaming polished wooden floors and glass walls. The next morning revealed beautiful gardens full of exotic plants and flowers, a swimming pool, library with internet access, and an excellent health club. Staff were extremely polite and friendly and did everything they could to help. This is a stunning hotel, a little way from down town, but easily accessible by bus, taxi, or walking (20 mins). We would highly recommend it.

“Relaxing holiday”

Very comfortable, relaxintg place to stay, set in gorgeously lush gardens. A great place to relax and recharge the batteries. The staff were very pleasant and I had one of the best massages in the spa area I have ever had. All in all a lovely week.

“Comfortable & Relaxing”

All staff at the hotel were very friendly, courteous and welcoming-right down to the gardeners. The grounds are pretty and well kept and the garden area off the room is secluded for privacy. The attached restaurant offers delicious cuisine for a fine dining experience. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday.
