"Elegance like the old days"
Classy hotel with everything you'd want. Expect to pay for it. I had a $20 glass of wine at the bar and loved it. Quiet location two blocks from green line subway. Treat yourself someday.

"Impressed"
Very much enjoyed the hotel, room and a good location. The room was a good size, stylish and modern - always nice in a traditional building. Service was as hoped for. Food and bar fitted with the rest - I really liked the hotel.

"Exceptional"
I just returned from a 6 night stay with my two kids (11 and 7) at the Plaza Athenée in NYC. This hotel was amazing. The location couldn't be beat (loved that is was close to everything, but tugged away on a beautiful residential block), the room was beautiful, and the staff could not have been nicer. Everyone from the super nice lady that checked us in (even gave my two kids little gifts) whose name I wish I remembered right now, to the always friendly and helpful doormen, to the outstanding concierges. The chief concierge especially (although all three I had comtact with were great), Rick Cook, went above and beyond his job with competency but also thoughtfulness. He took care of me even before I checked in, making reservations for us, and most impresively, emailing me when the hotel received important mail addressed to my husband whose name wasn't on the reservation, because he recognized my the last name. In all, a wonderful experience at the Plaza Athenée. I'm definitely hoping to return next year.
