A lot of nice touches

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Cons: I was unable to use the rewards program because I booked through Expedia.
Cookies at check in, beer and wine at the manager's reception, hors d'oeuvres of chicken wings and nachos, nice clean room, comfortable bed, leather couch, good breakfast, what is there not to like???

A great hotel

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: We liked everything!!
Cons: At this time we could not think of thing to improve.
Location: To us it was a good location. It is close to a big mall and other shopping centers. We were there to shop.
For our very first time stay at the AmericInn was a good experience. It offered everything you can imagine.

Decent, nothing special

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Cons: Air flow/air conditions, fitness room.
I spent three nights at AmericInn while taking my daughter to school in Madison. First, the staff are absolutely lovely people and very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is adequate but nothing special. The rooms are basic though clean. The air conditioner in our room barely worked. The first night our TV did not work either, though the desk attendant came up and fixed it. The "fitness center" has three pieces of equipment and is in a room the size of a closet and, at least while I was there, had absolutely no airflow. The breakfast room was clean and bright, and the breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast, nothing special but certainly better than some. Overall, this hotel is fine if you need a basic place to stay for a couple of nights and don't expect much more. Again, I commend the staff for their friendliness and professionalism in every interaction.

Comfortable hotel.

The room was comfortable. I think they need to update their showers a bit. The shower head was sliding down often, which I did tell the staff about and they need to update the grout on the shower. The room had a nice size refrigerator and microwave. I had a queen bed and it was very comfortable. There were a number of kids using the pool and it would be good to enforce that guests dry off before walking into the hallway as it makes the floor slippery and guests could slip, even though there were wet floor signs posted. Great location, close to many stores and restaurants and right off the Beltline highway in the area. Easy access.

STAFFFRIENDLY

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Liked the comfy bed.
Location: There are multicultured restaurants surrounding the hotel. So...walk to your choice of Vietnam, Indian or Mexican meals.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy and breakfast was good. The location was a little out of the way from things to do.

Easy access to/from the Beltline

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Beds were very comfortable.
Location: Large shopping mall and mini malls nearby. Short drive to UW campus and downtown capitol.
Breakfast buffet was out of this world. Besides the normal variety of sweets, cereals, breads, eggs, yogurts, make your own waffle, you could make your own breakfast burrito, there was a large bowl of fresh fruit, variety of coffees.

Long weekend in Madison

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Location, ease of access from highways, close to major shopping mall and restaurants.
Cons: The toilet was running slowly on our last day, but otherwise, everything was okay.
Location: The location is easily accessible to downtown and the surrounding area. It is close to the major beltline highway, but without traffic noise.
Wife and I came to visit our daughter and son in law in their new downtown apartment. We chose AmericInn because it was an easy commute to downtown, and the price was right. We found the room clean and quiet, although a bit cramped. The beds were comfortable and the service was fine. We didn't sample the breakfasts or take advantage of the manager's "happy hour" (with beer and wine), because we spent our days with our kids.
