“Good for the Cost”

The hotel is conveniently located right off 12/14 for easy travel to other areas of Madison. The hot breakfast was more than expected for the price of the room. The hotel clerk was very helpful with directions and was very nice overall. The only minus to our stay was the smell of smoke in our room. We had a non-smoking room, but the entire hallway and our room smelled of old stale smoke from years and years of apparently being a smoking room. I don't know if a coat of paint can fix it but it was pretty strong. There may be other rooms that were always non-smoking that smell better, I would request that if your nose is sensitive.

“Nice hotel for price”

It was nicer than expected for the price. Room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was awesome. The only problem I found was that the cleaning service came around 9:30 Saturday morning, which was kind of annoying, considering we hadn't even gotten out of bed yet.

“close to West Town Mall and good food.”

Close to belt line but needs more signage to find it at night. Madison traffic is awful so plan your travel time.

“Decent hotel”

This is a decent hotel. The room was clean and had reasonably updated decor. It was very reasonably priced. Check in and check out were handled efficiently. The hot breakfast was actually quite good - way better than most hotel hot breakfast. This is not a 5 star hotel but it is a good value and clean.

“Good value”

This motel was a good value for the low cost... However, we had some problems with the tv.. They need to be replaced with newer models. The staff was pleasant and very helpful.

“Exceeded my expectations!”

I was extremely pleased with my stay at this hotel. Front desk, morning breakfast, and cleaning staffs were absolutely outstanding! Personnel were friendly, caring, helpful, and professional. I felt they treated us like they would want to be treated. Our room was comfortable and clean. Loved the oversized bathtub! The hotel location was great for what we needed: close the to airport, restaurants, shopping, highways. It was perfect for what I needed.

Area recommendations

Our trip was not exactly for leisure. Our son was relocating to the Madison area for a job, so we went there to help him find housing and a vehicle.

Getting around

We rented a medium-sized car and brought our own GPS. We kept a phone book in the car. We found that highway road signs and GPS instructions combined to make our travelling very easy.

“Fine for West Towne area”

We needed a place in Madison for a couple nights and this hotel was fine for what we needed. We would have preferred to be in the university/downtown area, but those hotels were so much more expensive, and it is only a ten-minute drive in from West Towne, so we stayed here. Well worth the price. The hotel was not as hip or updated as some of its rivals, but it was fine and clean. The WiFi was a little funky, though.
