Welcome to Mad CityPosted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: The rates.
Cons: The overall condition of the room we stayed in could best be described as shabby mid-80's, with kind of an aromatic funk throughout.
Location: See above.
This motel was not a total dump, but the old building we stayed in has definitely seen some "better days", if you catch my drift. On the upside it is right on the "main drag" of Wisconsin's capitol city, just off the interstate & smack dab in the middle of some of Madison's finest retail sprawl, should one happen to require just about ANYTHING during their visit.

Nice hotel close to eating places, shopping .Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: How easy it was to find and that it was close to eating places.
Location: Right next to ton of eating places and right across from a shopping mall.
Easy to find off the interstate, Close to eating places and shopping easy to get down to the capital. The staff was just super great at helping us with directions.

Nice deck in the frontPosted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: The nice deck in the front.
Cons: The electrical outlets by the sink. The blow dryer or coffee pot wouldn't stay plugged in.
Location: Location is great. East Town Mall across the highway.
Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly. Very nice deck in the front to sit and relax. East Town Mall was just across the highway and many restaurants nearby.

Economical basic stayPosted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: pets allowed
Cons: The building is rather old, and could use some renovations
Location: near interstate
We stayed there because it was close to the interstate and allowed pets at a small extra charge. Nothing special about this place. But if you plan to have your dogs, and want to sleep, it serves its purpose.

Good hotel for 1 to 2 days in MadisonPosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: The staff is genuine and nice. The place is clean.
Cons: I'm not sure that you can update a hotel like this to be more modern, but it could use it. More furniture in the rooms would be nice, only one chair.
Location: Location is very beneficial 10 minutes to state capital. East Towne shopping mall right across the street with standard restaurants like Olive Garden
The place is clean, pretty good breakfast included. You can tell this was a rundown hotel that has been refurbished back to the original (and dated) look. Nothing fancy. Good place to lay your head while you are in Madison.

Pleasantly (and happily) Surprised!Posted Apr 20, 2015
I have stayed at other econolodge (San Francisco and near Cloverdale, IN) and swore I would stay at another hotel in this chain. However, I am familiar with this area in Madison, WI and thought I would give this hotel location a try. I definitely recommend this hotel at this location. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was decent, and staff was curteous. The price I paid was a phenomenal value for the accommodations! I will be staying at this hotel again.

Not the Ritz but a decent place to stay.Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: Location was excellent for us, just off the interstate, and would be great for anyone who wanted to shop.
Cons: Our room was clean but looked like it could use a fresh coat of paint.
Location: Right off the interstate and across the road from East Towne Mall. Convenient for travelers and shoppers alike.
Just an overnight stay before a local half marathon. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon returning from dinner, I couldn't find my room key card. Desk person cheerfully cancelled my old ones and set me up with new cards. King bed was very comfortable and newer tv had a ton of stations to serf through including several premium channels. I slept well and had no problem with noise from the hall or outside. Morning breakfast was adequate and included youmake waffles and scrambled eggs among other items.

PillowsPosted Apr 13, 2015
Great price, Ok breakfast, helpful staff, clean rooms. They just need to do something about their tiny pillows.
