Roomy comfort on the West sidePosted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: Spacious rooms, full kitchen
Cons: climate control in room
Location: Close to Middleton, West Towne Mall
We found a great rate online and so we decided to try the Extended Stay America on Madison's west side. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. There were several good restaurants within walking distance. Our only complaint was that the climate control in the room did not work well. This is a good choice for multiple night stays and we plan to return.

Conveniently located.Posted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
In general, the accommodations are very nice. Room is large and comfortable. BUT noise from the hallway is very intrusive. I had to ask a group (five people plus small dog) to please have a quieter conversation. They said sorry and did quiet down. Any conversations in the hallway are heard in the room.

Like being at homePosted Sep 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was a work related stay. Free wi-fi and lots of room to work in the room yet room to relax. Was able to stock food in the refrigerator and eat healthy while traveling. Two thumbs up.

Good place to stay.Posted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: Clean, well located, good facility.
Cons: Breakfast. The advertise a "pick up" breakfast. Rather minimal, for sure. Other Extended Stay locations include a hot breakfast, which is good.
Location: Convenient to the highway, some things nearby, but mostly have to drive a bit to find things. Not an issue.
We stayed for only one night. This place has good set up for long term guests. We found it on Expedia the day before, and it was a good value. No problems at all. I was surprised to find a $25 pet charge, after it was listed as pet friendly. On looking closely at the listing, it did say that there was a charge, but it was rather obscure. To me, this is more of a listing issue, and not a problem with the hotel.

Sam - Thank you for the comments. Extended Stay America is set-up for short or long-term lodging, so we aim to fit everyone's traveling needs. We are pet friendly and charge a minimal fee which covers deep cleaning the room after check-out. I will work with our team to ensure this message is clarified at booking and check-in moving forward. I hope you keep us in mind when traveling to Madison WI again.

Great! especially for the rate compared to othersPosted Apr 22, 2013
Pros: convenience, lay-out
Cons: phone system not easy to use, doesn't call front desk of same building? thin walls, was able to hear next room snoring
Location: right next to on-ramp, but no traffic noise, restaurants walking distance, nice business/accommodations area.
Great location right by the freeway; close to restaurants. Not meant for the scenery-seeker. Very nice reception people. Only minor issues: very uncomfortable pillows (bring your own if you can). Called 'front desk' to inquire about forgotten toothbrush/paste, but seemed to get an off-site office. I said I'd go downstairs to reception, but she said to wait & they'd be sent to the room. I waited for an hour, went downstairs to front desk, & there are extra toiletries always at reception. It was weird. No breakfast, but nice fresh small coffee bar, with fruit, breakfast bars, oatmeal packs. Very nice room set-up with utensil-stocked kitchen.

Tried this out for the first time. Definitely not a short-stay option. No housekeeping (over three nights). Rudimentary breakfast. Noisy HVAC system.
