We booked a room at the Hampton Inn & Suites this past weekend. Every day was another disappointment after the next. The first night our room smelled like dog urine. It was so strong and terrible. It hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. When we told the front desk, they explained to us that it is a dog-friendly room- which ok, we are happy you accommodate pets, but we shouldn't have to sleep with their mess. There was also a poop stain on the carpet. We left for the day to return to a bottle of febreeze. That was the fix to our dirty, smelly room. We complained again and asked for a new room. Unfortunately, we were moved to a room with a king bed, having 7 people in the room, this was not accommodating at all. We had to go to the store and purchase a blowup mattress.
The next day we were out again, came back around 4:30pm and our room wasn't cleaned. The front desk said that they left at 4pm- so we didn't get towels, our trash emptied or more toilet paper.
When we were checking out, after waiting at the front desk for someone to show up for 30 minutes, we spoke to a nice lady named Amanda- this was our first time meeting her, and she explained that we could be compensated for our room by the manager, whom we will have to talk to on Monday because managers don't work weekends.
