Great deal on the east side of MadisonPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: It was clean, and everything was newer and in good condition.
Cons: There are no microwaves in the room. That would have been nice. But, there was a fridge and coffee maker so that was good.
Location: East Towne Mall and other shopping and dining opportunities were within about a 5 minute drive from the hotel.
We had a great stay at this hotel. All of the facilities were clean and well kept, and most were like new. The room was comfortable and looked just like the online photos. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub area later in the evening. It was minutes the East Towne Mall and dining locations so that was definitely a plus. The area around the hotel is newer and the streets, buildings, etc were nice and well kept and it felt like a safe location. It was very reasonably priced for the area and had the features that we were looking for.

nice touches with a few issuesPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Shower facilities, cleanliness.
Cons: Signage leading you to the hotel. Can get yourself very lost trying to find it.
Location: Close enough to the heart of Madison without being in it. Eastown Mall and surrouding shops/restaurants only a few miles away.
Stayed overnight prior to the UW Homecoming game. Tucked within a labyrinth of streets all but begging for a GPS system to find it. Check-in was seemless. Room was clean and ready. Thermostat was a nice touch once you realized that's how the climate control works. One window shade pull was broken but could still be closed and did the job. Mattress was a bit firm but comfortable, pillows were bulky and firm - great for watching TV from bed but tilted your head way too high for sleeping. Night light on the alarm clock didn't work. Large shower with glass door, a fantastic shower head and good water pressure. No issues with noise from outside, the hallway or adjacent rooms. Check-out went even smoother than check-in. Overall a good stay.

it is outside of downtown, but in a very nice area. Nice, new, clean, and friendly. Pool and hot tub are small but nice too.

A pleasant stayPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The hotel and our room were very clean and comfortable. Our one and only complaint was there was a section in the "On Demand" movie list called "Free On Demand Movies" however none of the items listed were free. We informed the woman at the front desk about this although nothing was done about it as she stated she knew nothing about such an option. Other than that I have no complaints.

rest after a long dayPosted Aug 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was great, but I was disappointed when we went to breakfast and found out only 2 breakfasts were included in our price when we had 4 people. No place did it state it didn't cover all 4 people in the reservation.

Especially appreciated shuttle to nearby wedding reception - thanks Melissa!

The Holiday Inn Madison does work with wedding couples in accommodating their out of town guests and in some case transporting their guests to the wedding venue. We were happy to hear that you appreciated that extra service.

Great hotel, amazing servicePosted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very nice and in great shape. Comfortable bed, nice tv, nice bathroom. We used the hot tub and restaurant as well. The only issue we had wad the location without a vehicle. The hotel had no where to eat or shop within walking distance so we were stranded, but the hotel was nice and had amazing service so it was Ok to be stranded

Ugh the end of the Holiday Inn Brand...Posted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The exterior has great branding, very professional and nice common areas and decent rates at check-in. That's where the romance ends. The cooling units were of the window variety, didn't work correctly and made a weird noise throughout the evening - leaving the room hot and noisy. Why they install only the cheapest bathroom fixtures and soap in the entire HI chain escapes me. This was a $40 a night place - ugh!

We are sorry to hear that your stay with us did not meet your expectations! We pride ourselves in the product and service we offer. The soaps and amenities used in our guestrooms are those items that meet the requirements set forth by Holiday Inn Standards. I apologize that the room cooling unit did not work properly for you and our maintenance staff is working on problems with the units that are brought to our attention. Again, I apologize that we did not meet your expectations.
