Too Short!Posted Nov 14, 2013
Pros: location, comfortable accommodations
Cons: move microwave to countertop - too high for us short people.
Was only in Madison overnight but was very pleased with the stay at HotelRed an was sorry we couldn't linger longer. Bed was very comfortable, shower was amazing. Only downside is the microwave too high! Would be better located on counter. Will definitely return.

Right across from camp RandallPosted Nov 8, 2013
Great location for a football game but the hotel has a shuttle to anywhere else in Madison. Comfortable bed. Great staff. I would visit this hotel again.

Great Independent/Boutique HotelPosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: See above.
Cons: I don't like pillow-top mattresses, I prefer a firmer surface.
Location: Right across from the stadium, good proximity to everything with the central location. Go next door for great local breakfast options.
We enjoyed our two nights at Red very much; great bar/restaurant (make sure to try the potatoes dauphinoise for breakfast). Great location and easy to get around town. Cool modern decor and vibe. Room was clean, comfortable and had a well-stocked honor bar with lots of local snacks. Great shower. Great rates, especially compared to the big chains. Check out Mickey's Dairy Bar next door for a great local breakfast diner. Some may not like the polished concrete floors in the rooms (with area rugs); we had heard about complaints of cold. To this I say: A) Get a pair of complimentary slippers from the front desk and B) I prefer the cleanliness offered by that kind of surface. Carpet is gross in general and doubly so in a hotel environment. I would absolutely stay there again and recommend it to anyone who wants a great alternative to the bland sameness of the big chains.

BEST BEDS IN THE WORLD!Posted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Upgraded me to a suite hat cause, and I didn't want to leave because the bed were TOO comfy. Felt like u was sleeping on a cloud. I asked the front desk what were the names of the bed, because I will be getting those.

Pleasant stay-edgy modern aestheticPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel location was great- close to the stadium and the campus. Had a great view of stadium- parking was available which was a plus. The staff was friendly- helped with directions and recommendations for restaurants. I loved the boutique/ modern feel of room and Wisconsin made snacks. Loved the shower, bed and furniture comfortable. The only draws: the ceilings were same cement color as floor- felt like sleeping in parking garage and the bed was next to kitchenette-better if bed by window. Our family stay pleasant!

Close to where I need to bePosted Aug 25, 2013
I am moving a family member to UW for the Fall. I choose this hotel for its location as it is right across street from the student housing. But we were impressed with the hotel. It looks stylish, almost industrial with exposed walls and ceiling. Hotel managers and staffs are extremely friendly. After leaving Madison and living in the east coast for 10 years, it is refreshing. Since we were busy shopping and moving, we did not get to experience hotel amenities, such as gym, restaurant. But free parking is very convenient. I will definitely stay here again when I visit my relatives here.

Nice hotel with modern designPosted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: Modern decor
Cons: Service in bar was very slow. Had to wait 20 minutes before we were waited on.
Location: Close to Capitol square and UOW campus
Nice modern decor close to downtown Madison. Ample free parking on site along with a restaurant and bar. Would choose this hotel next time we are in Madison
