Large room, close to the central part of Madison.

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: The large room
Cons: The size of the closet. It was awkwardly placed.
Location: Picknic on the capital building grounds. Restaurants are within walking distance. Many stores are also nearby.
Staff is friendly. The shuttle van is almost always available. The rooms are quite large and accomodate six. All nine of us were very satisfied with everything, especially the delicious breakfasts.

Very nice place to stay. The parking lot could be a little tricky. The room layout is very well and comfortable. We loved it.

Nice Hotel Close to Capitol Square

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to a great variety of restaurants (Italian, Chinese, Indian, Peruvian, Nepal & Tibetan, American, Pubs, Taverns, Pizza, etc.). Located between
We had a great experience from the moment we checked in at the hotel. Friendly, courteous staff, and a spacious clean room with a comfortable bed and an excellent shower. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a good assortment from steel cut oatmeal with fruit and nuts to ham and cheese and egg biscuits.

Central location

Posted Jun 5, 2015
Pros: The quiet and comfortable room and comfortable beds.
Location: Location is excellent for seeing central Madison, University area and Lakefront.
This is a modern hotel situated just a couple of blocks from the State Capitol. Parking was $10 per night and was situated in an adjacent multi storey car park. The breakfast buffet was fine, although the breakfast room could get really busy. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was excellent, as Madison is quite compact and we were able to walk to most places, although the shopping malls were placed to the east and west of the city centre and require a drive. The area around the Capitol has many nice coffee shops, restaurants and bars, so it is not hard to find somewhere to your liking. I have been impressed by the Hyatt Place chain and would recommend this hotel for your stay in Madison.

Close to the Capital Square

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Large shower.
Cons: The desk chair was damaged/wobbly but I was able to fix it. It should not have been left in that condition.
The breakfast was very good with many choices. However, there was an odd taste to the cut fruit (melons, orange slices, etc.) suggesting the cutting board had been used for fish or the fruit had been refrigerated without a cover in a refrigerator that also had fish in it.
