Bermuda Triangle

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Thank god I had GPS or I never would have found it. I needed to get to and from Oregon, WI. Last time I stayed at a Day's Inn in South Mad. This time at the Red Roof. It took 30 minutes and about 4 or 5 different highways to find it. My dad, a geographer who used to live in Madison, got lost for an hour. The hotel itself was fine for what it was, except for horrible scratchy sheets and some hair I found in the tub and sink when I arrived.

Met expectations.

Posted May 19, 2014
It was graduation weekend in Madison and I had only made reservations a month in advance. But good access to the expressway but still a quiet stay. Its not a four or five star hotel but they provided what was expected for a decent price considering it was graduation weekend.

Nice place.

First impression was nice, and clean, and all went well. Walls seem a bit thin, but the kids next door were sleeping by 11pm.

Avoid at all costs! Not a pleasant experience. I am not going to consider going to a red roof inn in the future!

low priced hotel

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: good price
Cons: Air unit did not work. Windows need cleaning. Our non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke.
Location: walking distance to east town mall and many restaurants
Very loud drunk people outside of our room for most of the night, so we ended up not getting much sleep. Ladies, make sure you bring your own hair dryer as there are none in the rooms.

Cleanliness questionable.

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Friendly front desk staff
Used soap bar was left in shower upon check in. Found very dirty wash cloth under the bath math mat that was draped over the edge of the tub. Housekeeping only made up one of the two beds in the room. Heating/cooling unit only worked for the first few hours we were in the room the first night. Didn't work at all the following day or night.

Nice Quiet Budget Motel

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The room was clean and quiet. It is actually a motel. I was able to park outside right near my room door. Very convenient..
Cons: We had three people but there were only two bath towels provided. Ice and coffee only in/near lobby which was far from our room.
Location: It is near the West Towne Mall. 15 min to Alliant Energy Center by freeway.
A Nice clean room. Lower priced room so it did not have a refrigerator or microwave. Hotel was full and still it was very quiet. A little ways off the main traffic area which helped make traffic noise nonexistent. My room was on the back side as well so that also helped.

Overnight stay

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Close to interstate.
Cons: Updating the place.
Location: Restaurant close to hotel and plenty of shopping.
The room was alright although one of the bedspreads had a big stain on it. Don't know what that was. Other than that it was o.k.
