“Small and beautifully formed.”

This small hotel is well located opposite the Park Retiro and close to the Prado. The service was faultless and personal with no effort spared to make one feel welcome. It is however the only place that I have stayed where the cost of the evening meal was less than the cost of breakfast (which was £25 per head!). That said the food was excellent.

Beautiful boutique hotel with great service. Perfect location for a morning run in the park and museum viewing.

“Nice stay”

Loved Madrid. It does not have the really iconic stuff some other citys have but instead you have a friendly city with a real personalitty and some lovely neighbourhoods. The hotel was lovely. Great location and plush. If I had any criticism it was that the bedroom was more 4 star than 5 star in my opinion but this was made up for by the lovely bathroom, public spaces and great overall service.

“Excellent hotel- I would certainly go back”

This wonderful hotel is the result of a beautiful restoration of a grand old palacial home. The interior is gorgeous with untra-modern details set against original structure. The service was terrific across the board. My only criticism was the restaurant: only a few tables and a very limited menu. There are many excellent restaurants in this area within walking distance or a short cab ride. Overall an excellent experience!

“My New Favorite Hotel”

Stylish, sophisticated, gorgeous, hip and located in an ideal location for exploring Madrid on foot. The hotel was the personal residence of a Spanish shipping tycoon. The hotel company took a classic space and contrasted it with tasteful modern design to create a breathtaking hotel. This hotel is new with many top of the line appointments. Large bathrooms, spacious rooms and many nice touches (CD in the room with electronic lounge music, shaving kit & tooth brushes). One of the best parts is the mini bar is gratis! Only problem was that we found out only 1/2 through our trip. I like a hotel that doesn't nickel and dime you over basic travel amenities. We'll definitely be back.

“Great location, nice room, staff matter of fact”

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for our anniversary trip to Spain. We liked the location - next to the park and walking distance from a lot of key points (we don't mind walking several miles a day). Staff was matter of fact -which we found to be common in Spain. Remember 5 star hotels in Europe typically equate to 4 star hotels in the U.S. That is what we found w/ AC.
