Owner Juan Garcia is a great Host.

Owner Juan Garcia gave us an excellent review of the main attractions in Madrid. The apartment had all the comfort of a first class suite for a reasonable price. the most important places to visit were at a walking distance in a very safe area.

Caballero means gentleman, and the proprietor is

The proprietor, Juan, contacted us before our stay to ask if we had any questions/needed directions - this was a first for us. He gave us a lovely welcome, and, as we stayed 2 nights, left for 3 to tour around, then returned, and we were greeted like old friends on our return. The apartment was well equipped, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. It is a 15 minute walk to the Royal Palace, and 10 minutes to the Prado so an excellent location, but Cabellaro de Gracia itself is a bit untidy, with a brothel about 10 doors away, but the ยด'ladies' do not trouble anyone in a couple, a man on his own will be asked nicely if he wants ........... but is not hassled! The street also has tapas bars and a very good and busy restaurrant so it's not that bad. We intend to come back to Madrid - grreat city - and would stay here again.

Great apartment in Madrid for a family

Posted Aug 14, 2013
Pros: The apartment is renovated and pretty modern. All appliances are new and the apartment is pretty well kept up. The place was clean.
Cons: The only thing that can be improved is the sofa bed in the living room. I think the sofa needs new cushion covers which are a little stained.
Location: The apartment is walking distance to Corte Ingles for shopping. Walking to distance to Plaza Cibeles where you can catch Airport Express for five Euro
We are a family of four (two young teenage girls) and are frequent travelers to Spain. We had just visited family in Northern Spain so we wanted to do what the locals do in Madrid. For the first time we rented an apartment instead of a hotel in Madrid. Our experience in the apartment was great. We had no set time to wake up for breakfast or a set time to eat dinner. We had a full kitchen at our disposal and we made our own time table for breakfast lunch and dinner. The apartment is modern and clean. Madrid is normally very hot about noon time, so we would sleep in and stay out late at night. Madrid is a town people stay out late. This apartment beats a bed and breakfast.

Texted owner Juan on the way from the airport, he was waiting for us on arrival, very welcoming and helpful, gave us city info and map and a bottle of red wine, I speak Spanish so language was not a problem. Location great, walking distance to all the main sights/shops/restaurants/bars.
