Grear Location for our 4 night stay in Madrid

Posted Oct 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were very impressed with the Hotel from the minute we arrived till the time we departed. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Just a few minutes walk to the Metro station and a 30 minute journey took us into the City Centre. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to my friends.

Good hotel

I've used this hotel before and would use it again. I like the free airport shuttle, the metro stop that is closeby and the peaceful neighbourhood. There are also at least two restaurants across the street. I did not interact much with the staff but they seemed polite and helpful.

comfortable hotel

Location: It is close to the Metro, but quite a distance from central Madrid. We discovered that the walk from the airport was a bit long and that the Google i
Our room was a spacious one bedroom apartment that was clean with working Wi-Fi.

Great apart hotel at a very reasonable price

Posted Aug 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for two days on route to Valencia. It was the perfect location. The metro is just half a block from the hotel and it takes you to downtown Madrid in 20 minutes. Car rental was easy since the airport is five minutes away. Rooms are huge. The four of us slept comfortably for half the price of a single room in Madrid.

Great hotel for leisuholiday / business convention

Posted Jun 17, 2013
An excellent hotel. Good points: 1. large clean nicely furnished rooms 2. free shuttle on demand throughout the day / evening to the airport and IFMEA convention centre (both being <10 minutes journey) 3. friendly helpful staff who speak excellent English 4. reasonablly priced room service via local pizza place compensates for the lack of a restaurant in the hotel 5. Four minutes walk to the El Capricho metro station Could be improved by: 1. kettle in each room 2. more crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment in each appartment's kitchen. We were only given 2 of each plates, forks, knives and glasses.

Great hotel for attending conference at IFEMA

Posted Jun 16, 2013
Pros: Free shuttle service and comfortable bed.
Cons: No kettle and tea/coffee supply.
Location: Good location to IFEMA.
It is at a very convenient location for attending IFEMA and the hotel's free shuttle service to the airport and IFEMA was a bonus. Room was clean, quiet and beds were comfortable. It has a big kitchen area but no kettle provided. There were also no plates or cutlery although this was provided on request.

Great location and tremendous value

This hotel is perfectly located for those visiting Madrid with a vehicle who do not want to drive into the city (which is not for the faint at heart). Why drive into the rabbit warren of overcrowded streets downtown and try to find parking, when you can take the metro and leave your car behind. The nearest metro station to the hotel is right around the corner and it's the number 5 line that runs straight along calle Alcala directly to Plaza Callao. The apartment style rooms are spacious with separate bedroom and kitchen/living room. The full kitchen (except oven) allows you to save money on restaurants by cooking your own food which you can buy at a nearby grocer. The only drawback is the hotel's proximity to the airport which causes air crews and travellers who arrive and depart at all hours to create noise in the entrance area. So you want to avoid rooms directly above this area. These are rooms with numbers ending in 01 to 03, especially on lower floors. Otherwise, this would be our first choice in Madrid again.

Great place to stay if you want a little kitchen area where you can cook and store food (fridge/freezer). Good value in April. Right off a metro stop, and free shuttle to airport, so it was perfect for us to stay there our last night in Spain and take the shuttle in the morning.

Beware of Barajas Airport Public Phones !!

Posted Apr 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The stay was wonderful. It was only an overnight stop on our way home. I wish we could have stayed longer & gone in to explore Madrid. However, BEWARE of the public phones at Barajas Airport. You have to call the hotel to get the shuttle to come to the airport. I invested a small fortune in the public phones at Barajas, trying to call the hotel, and all I got was a message saying that the phone number that the Hotel listed in my e-reservation did not exist. The lady at the Airport Help desk was kind enough to call the hotel from her personal cell phone and reached the number with no trouble. The shuttle bus came shortly thereafter. So, make sure you KNOW HOW TO OPERATE THE PUBLIC PHONES AT BARAJAS before you get there. Otherwise it's like playing the slots at Vegas. You could lose a lot of money to them !! Or bring your own phone!
