Excellent hotelPosted Jan 8, 2014
Location: 100 metres to metro.
Confortel suites is a very nice and clean hotel. Very close to metro, only 100 metres. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets around it. The room was very clean, beds very comfortable with lots of pillows. Staff was always smiling and very helpful. They speak English very well. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel, and would recommend it to everyone.

Location: Very accessible to city and plenty of eateries..restaurants and cafes
The hotel was very accessible to Madrid although a little out of town because of the excellent underground transport.

good locationPosted Sep 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good value for price. We stayed twice in 2 separate buildingss. Bloque 3 (Blg 3 ) is the new one and very nice but there is construction next door that is very noisy and starts 6 am. Toilets missing bidets (common part of Spanish hotels bathrooms), The older bloque 1 has larger but older rooms.Hotel staff very friendly. Overall very good value for short stay less than 3 days.Location and acess are excellent

Quiet area but Near Metro Train StationPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Proximity to the train station and quiet neighborhood.
Cons: I'd like to see a kitchen on the suite rooms.
Location: 2 minute walk to a nearby Alfonso 13 metro station. Lots of shops along Lopes de Hoyos.
Newly renovated hotel. Booked a suite but it did not have kitchen nor microwave. Other than that this is relly a good hotel.

Very good hotel for the pricePosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
If you are not too worried about the hotel being a little away from the city center, then this is a great hotel. It's very clean, quiet and it is located in a neighborhood that has many cafes, food shops and restaurants. The room is modest, but for the price, it is a good deal. The staff speaks enough English and are helpful. The metro is only a block away and the it feels very safe to walk around alone at night.

Nice modern hotel, reasonably pricedPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: WiFi was excellent, breakfast good value, staff friendly and helpful, location next to metro and nice/safe neighbourhood
Cons: Privacy in the rooms...too fashionable at the expense of practicality.
Location: Location literally 60 seconds from metro. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Off the tourist track so can see the "real" Madrid.
This is a nice hotel. It is conveniently located next to a metro stop that takes 20-25mins to get to the town centre. The neighborhood is also pleasant and feels quite safe. There are various restaurants, bars, supermarkets and a McDonalds and Burger King in the vicinity, so everything is available. The staff were helpful and all speak english. The WiFi worked very well (and is free) and I could connect 3 devices at the same time from my room. The breakfast was reasonable and quite well priced. There is a continental breakfast for 4 Euros and a full buffet for 8. The buffet is quite simple though (only cereals, toasts, muffins and yoghurt...no cooked food). Shower and beds were decent. The rooms are very modern and quite well designed. However the TV is tiny...maybe 13 inches. The rooms also gave me a sense of style was chosen over functionality. For example, the bathroom does has a shower cubicle where one of the walls has darkened glass so that a silhouette of the person is visible as they shower from the bedroom. If you are not a couple, this does not give much privacy. It also means that when the light is turned on in the bathroom, it lights up the entire bedroom. It would be much better if they replaced this with a full length mirror, which the room doesn't have. Not useful for a late night wee. The bathroom doesn't lock either and has fashionable glass doors where you can see through the gaps. A normal door would work much better. Overall, the hotel is very good.

Hotel in good location but poor facilitiesPosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Close to underground station, good links to central Madrid. Lots of convenience stores in the area.
Cons: Facilities should be much better for a 4 star hotel.
The hotel is in a very good location, very close to the Alfonso XIII underground station, which means that it takes only 15-20 minutes to the center of Madrid. The area is pretty quiet and has various shops for breakfast, Mac Donalds, and other small stores within walking distance. The problem with the room we were given was that the sink was leaking water on the floor and wallpaper was in a relatively poor condition. I have stayed in better 3 star hotels, so I doubt why his hotel has been given 4 stars.
Not recommends if less than 4 nights in MadridPosted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Great Staff Cheap breakfast
Cons: Should have basic aminities in the room e.g. body lotion, conditioner,
Location: Nothing to do near the hotel. However 2 mins walk to the metro station and bus stop - but not ideal if you are on a city tour for a long weekend.
+tives Great staff near Madrid Metrol AlfansoXIII We were upgraded with no hassles Breakfast cheap -tives Too far from the city Not ideal if you are on a city tour and planning to be in Madrid for less than 4 nights Public trasnport in Madrid is not cheap compared to London (which is expensive) Not many local food place - there is a McDonald and couple of local bakery and restaurant - but nothing good to explore plus they close in the afternoon and are not open until late Although there is good connection to the city with public transport - its not worth (monetary wise) and does not breakeven the saving you will make by choosing a hotel outside the city There are good affordable hotels in the city Hotel lack Bacis amenitites - like no Body lotion (on an upgrated room- we were upgraded as a VIP member of expedia) No tea or coffee eminities There is a mini fridge with nothing in it
