“A great surprise”
Quite nice and new installations within an old building in the heart of Madrid. Very nice accomodation, excellent location and with a cool terrace bar for the summer nights
“Friendliness in a capital city”
....is not always easy to find but great staff, cosy library and relaxing bar at the Hotel letras makes it easy. Helpful staff, lovely breakfast and nice designer feel to room. Buy a scented candle to remind you of the atmosphere in the bar.
“Nice hotel, excellent and very helpful staff (dining is a little overpriced)”
My sister and I book our whole trip to Spain on Expedia, and it went flawless. This hotel is nice, and feels ritzy. When we arrived, my Spanish was a little shaky, but the two females at the front desk were patient, and even spoke English with my non-Spanish speaking sister. If you've never been to a hotel in Spain (maybe even Europe), like my sister and I. The hotels are trying to save energy so when you get into the room, there's a box where you slide your key card into to turn on lights and water. Our room had a balcony, and it's hard to have a bad view from the hotel. We were on the backside of the hotel, and this minimized the noise significantly. The hotel is situated close to many attractions, and is on the Madrid Vision bus tour route, you can buy tickets at the front desk. I loved this hotel the most on our trip across Spain.
“Friendly”
Arrived at the hotel around 23.00 and was welcomed by a very helpful and friendly front desk. The room was exceptional. While not all rooms can be on the corner of a building with surround balconies, mine was. It was clean, comfortable, stylishly decorated. But what made this hotel special was the staff. When I'm travelling, I don't spend much time in the room. I need and what professional assistance from the staff, and De Las Letras exceeded all expectations. Do yourself a favor and, if you can book this hotel, do it. Walk to the Prado or take the Metro, since both are easy . . . and be sure to enjoy the food and wine!
“La référence à Madrid”
Après avoir fait de très fréquents voyages d'affaires à Madrid, je pensais avoir fait le tour de tous les hôtels de classe à Madrid. Cette découverte du Las Letras a été une très agréable surprise : grand confort, décoration chaleureuse, qualité du service, cordialité du personnel. Rien que du bon, du beau, du plaisir. Je sais maintenant quel sera mon hôtel à Madrid lors d'un prochain voyage.
“Would definitely return/recommend”
Wonderful central location. We were a bit worried when we arrived b/c the entrance door didn't look very nice, but as soon as we went in, everything was great - front desk and room service, nice bar and restaurant. Spa with great deals on massages. Library with free internet access and a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Terrace with a beautiful view.
“A great experience”
I consider Myself an exigent traveler. I Don't like to pay for luxury, but I appreciate small details. I absolutely need a comfortable bed and a very decent bathroom. After a 12 hour flight we got to De Las Letras. We were amazed on the quality of the hotel. Every detail is been taken care of. I would definately go back. Take the breakfast, it's really worth it.
“A charming hotel”
We had a lovely room with a glass-enclosed balcony overlooking the Gran Via. The food in the restaurant was so good that we ate there several times.
“Great Hotel. Great Location”
This was a great hotel right in the centre of Madrid, convenient for most of the major museums and shopping. The hotel itself is great, clean, modern and all the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definetely recommend this hotel and if I was ever in Madrid again this would be where I would stay.
“Great hotel”
Nice hotel in great location, very close to Metro lines and within walking distance of lots of restaurants and bars. The room was very nice and big by European standards.
