Smallest room ever...

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Outside of the tiny room the hotel is beautiful! Staff was a bit arrogant, but the location and stylish building were pluses- An easy walk everywhere from here... We'll stay there again!

Beautiful Hotel in old Madrid

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Almost everything.
Cons: The buffet breakfast is offered at an absurd price - we were hard pressed to eat 30EU (per person) of food each morning!
Location: Reasonable walk to Madrid's major sites.
From the moment you arrive, the hotel staff impress as being truly service oriented. They are friendly and helpful. The hotel exudes character and finesse. The room which was very comfortable and tastefully decorated.

Ideal Madrid-center Hotel

Posted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: Quality of the decoration, location, friendly staff. Fantastic inside and patio bar.
Cons: Increase room sizes
Location: Handy for everything in the Madrid city-center
Great city center location. Smallish rooms but decorated to an incredibly high level. Very polite staff. Not a budget hotel in any sense though.

perfect service, great location

Posted Sep 30, 2014
as usual, this one delivers!. My only complain this time was with breakfast. The restaurant area apparently was under renovation and the "alternate" salon...was a mess. The staff did what they could but this should have been better handled by the hotel

Fantastic hotel, well positioned.

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: I suppose being picky, would be to have more vegetarian options on the hotel restaurant menu, we didn't eat in there because of this.
Location: Plenty of museums, the Royal Palace is a must! Puerto del Sol, Retiro Park is beautiful and a must see. There is so much to see and do!
This is a wonderful hotel, we were on the red level which gives you your own private lounge area with a terrace for enjoying complimentary champagne and wine with nibbles all day and for also enjoying a peaceful breakfast too. Plus many other services. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and always willing to please/ help and most could speak English. They couldn't do enough for you. In fact everyone we interacted with throughout our stay in Madrid was friendly and welcoming. We had a premium room which was really nice and comfortable with a living area and with terrace and a whirlpool which was lovely to enjoy when having some down time at the hotel. The hotel is in a great position for all places of interest as well as the shopping district - Salamanca which has many luxury shops. The city tour bus stops just around the corner, which is a great way to see the city, and the metro is a very short walk away, literally. We could not fault it and would highly recommend it.

Nice Hotel in City centre

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Hotel had a nice ambience, good location, comfortable, friendly english speaking staff who were helpful.
Cons: menu in the restaurant had limited vegan options so did the breakfast buffet
Location: walking distance to all designer shops, Hard rock cafe next door was great we enjoyed our meal there on the last night.can hop on city tours closeby.
My family stayed there for a long weekend, it was relaxing, close by to city centre, we stayed in premier room which gave us access to premier lounge. My daughter is a vegan and the breakfast buffet had limited options for vegans, may be they can improve on it.
