Great location

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: Good location
Cons: The system of using 2 single beds with separate bedding to make a double seems unnecessary.
Location: Central to shops and nice places to eat as well as the metro. When Madrid is very hot as it was during our stay, the metro is great to get around.
This was a lovely hotel I a very central location in Madrid. Metro station very close and right in the shopping heart of Madrid. next door to Platea which has shops and a fantastic food/tapas and drink hall. Cafes as well if you don't want the hotel breakfast, which we chose not to access. Bar area and public spaces were well appointed. Room was very comfortable, except for the system of two single beds pushed together to make the double - along with single bedding. Experienced this at the Melia Sevilla as well. Bathroom was good, Staff helpful at reception, although a bit disorganised when busy. Gave us great recommendations for places to eat and booked same if asked.

Great location, quality and staff

The hotel is in central location to main landmarks and close by to center of the city. Fantastic common areas, luxury rooms. We got the family room and has 2 bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great breakfast included.

Fabulous hotel in central Madrid, ideally situated

Posted Jul 7, 2015
We had a 'standard package' of flight plus hotel booked through Expedia. On arrival at the hotel we discussed the possibility of an upgrade with the very helpful and attentive Reception staff. We were offered a brilliant 'red level service' that was worth every extra penny. This made all the difference to a very memorable week in Madrid during one of the hottest summers anyone there can remember. Thoroughly recommended.

Great hotel with wonderful staff!

Pros: Service was top notch...very accommodating!
Cons: All was great!
Location: Prado Museum Great Tapas Restaurants Shopping was great! 3 hour drive to Rioja wine country
Perfect hotel as is located close to the Prado, fantastic Tapas restaurants, and awesome shopping. We rented a car and it was 2 blocks from the hotel! Our first trip to Madrid and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going for a first trip...in fact we are staying at the hotel again on our way back to the states.

Very well situated

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful and well located hotel. We had a very good bufet for breakfast and shopping at Calle Serrano was very handy. Also very good restaurants all over the neighborhood specially PLATEA just next to the hotel. At this place you can have a snack for lunch or dinner and choose among a wide variety of dishes.

ALWAYS A VERY NICE HOTEL!

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: STAFF, EVERYTHING!
Cons: THE ROOMS ARE A BIT SMALL, AND THE BATHROOM IS NOT VERY CONFORTABLE.
Location: THE BEST LOCATION IN MADRID: THE BEST SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS ARE NEARBY.
THE STAFF IS GREAT!! CONCIERGE IS ALWAYS VERY HELPFUL.....VERY NICE HOTEL; VERY NICE BREAKFAST, EXCELLENT SERVICE. YOU FEEL TRULY PAMPERED. THE ROOMS ARE A BIT SMALL, AND THE BATHROOM IS NOT VERY CONFORTABLE, BUT THE REST MAKES IT UP FOR THESE DETAILS.

Very nice part of the town; few excellent restaurants in neighborhood; for shopping great position; we loved dry Martini bar in the lobby; red level worth extra money; not far from museum quarter;
