Location: You are in the middle of no where.
It's 2014 and they charge 20 euro for WIFI. Are you kidding!!! The smallest cheapest place have free WIFI. 23 euro for a burger!!!

Not like being in Spain, but comfortable and clean

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: A good shuttle service to the airport.
Cons: It is what it is. For many Americans, this surely is the ideal hotel. Like being back in the USA from bar to lobby to room.
Location: Easy access to taxis and the subway.
Was I in Minneapolis? Chicago? Denver? No, the Hilton Airport at Madrid is built for and meant for Americans. It has a great shuttle service to the airport and you'll get a good night's sleep here. But nothing about the hotel suggests Madrid or Spain even. I'd recommend it for your last day in Spain, not for an entire vacation or business trip. There is nothing to knock about the front desk staff: most helpful.

Nice hotel

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Quite, relatively close to a subway station, very clean and well organized. Good gym with sauna and indoor pool.
Cons: As in many hotels in Europe, WiFi/ Internet access is an additional charge.
Location: The hotel is relatively far away from shopping malls, restaurants or other amenities, but is close enough to a train station so you can go anywhere.
Friendly staff, room was comfortable, about 15 minutes walk to Metro station. Close to airport.

Close to airport

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: The restaurant, although expensive, was very good.
Cons: The key situation may have been out of their control, but the lighting and door security should be improved.
Location: Close to the airport is the only thing in their favor.
We booked this hotel to have quick airport access the next day. Their key system wasn't working, so we had to be escorted to our room each time we left and came back. The room was OK, lighting was terrible, some items of disrepair, such as the door lock being gone! There was nowhere to walk from this hotel, so we were captive as to dining unless we wanted to take a cab. It seems that we should have been given at least a free drink or wireless because of the inconvenience of the key system.

Good airport hotel, not great

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: The staff was great from the front desk to the shuttle and the restaurant and bar in particular.
Cons: Free wireless
Location: It is an airport hotel and sufficiently close by.
Stayed 1 night. Staff was polite, friendly and professional. Room was clean and comfortable, and restaurant & bar were good though a bit pricy. Three downsides. One was the room design. Bathroom has glass walls, and glass sink and shower. In the middle of the night when not trying to wake others up, it is difficult to avoid walls. Free wireless downstairs, but not in the room. Finally, the elevators operate with a room key. We had no issue, but we observed many who did as directions and slot in elevator are not clear.

Very nice but...

Posted Sep 23, 2014
Location: The nearby shopping mall is great. But be prepared for a half hour walk to get there.
Fancy hotel. reasonable rate on first blush. Hilton has chosen the airline model of hidden costs. Reasonable room rate but 25 euros a person for in-room wifi. 26 euros a person for breakfast. And 14 euros for a martini at the bar, where wifi is "free." Most expensive drink I have ever had.

Overnight between flights

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Friendliness and helpfulness of everyone we encountered on staff. Really clean rooms that are well appointed.
Location: We didn't do anything but it was very convenient to the airport.
Great experience. We had dinner at the hotel and the food was wonderful. Our waitress was attentive without being too attentive and we loved the dinner.

Wonderful experience

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The location in relation to the airport and to the Metro station, the contemporary architecture and furnishings, the size and design of the room.
Cons: Restaurant service at lunch time was very slow, plus very expensive.
Location: Ten minutes away from the airport, ten minutes away from the Metro station. The hotel has a swimming pool and gymnasium.
Staying at this hotel during our brief stay in Madrid, was the best choice. The facilities are beautiful, modern, clean, the hotel is located ten minutes away from the airport and has free shuttle sevice, and the closest Metro station is a ten minute walk from the hotel. Eating at the hotel is quite expensive, but then, in which other hotel room can one relax sitting on an Eames chair?
