Hostel located in the good location. Shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets are nearby. Was my mistake did not check in detail that I booked a SHARED BATHROOM room. So, I feel pretty inconvenient. Good thing is there are a large common area with pantry, with electric kettle, micro wave, fridge and kitchen utensils for use. Room is clean, but small.

Recepcion hasta la 5pm y solo buena ubicación
Solo tienen recepción hasta las 5pm inconformidad para que te guarden las maletas y mala comunicación pero el Hostal esta muy bien ubicado y bonitos cuartos
Deceptive information about property information check in hours. No front desk receptionist except a cleaning person Very noisy place. Cameras all over. Public toilet and showers down the hallway. 24/7 noise and loud voices.

I wouldn’t stay here again. Very loud, puke on the stairway, mold in the bathroom , and very noisy at night.
Excellent location. The Tirso De Molina metro station is half a block away. The building is well maintained and very clean. the decoration of the place is cozy. Very good option to stay in the center of Madrid.
For the price and location, this property was amazing. Incredible rooms with AC, safe area, good amenities. The property had an easy check in late at night that was entirely remote. This made our trip very easy.
The one downside is that there is no staff or emergency line available after hours. In my stay we required help and were unable to get it. It also did not help that there was minimal signage on the street to indicate the hostel.
The hostel staff quickly helped the next morning, but it is worth mentioning that after hours staff or phone line would be extremely beneficial.
I stayed in a private room. Clean, comfortable, and efficiently arranged. Good bed, bedding, and pillows. Great rain shower; excellent water pressure. Nice to have use of kitchen facilities as I stayed 5 nights. Good location; walking distance to museums, restaurants, and day trip meeting point. There is an elevator in the building and air con in the room. Would stay again.
Good location. Had everything we needed for 1 night stay. Wouldn't stay longer then 2 nights as the room was very small. Convient prearrival check-in (although our app struggled to work). Good aircon
EVERY THING WAS WONDERFUL BECAUSE MY WIFE AND I STAYED AT A FRIEND'S HOUSE BUT WE ASSUME THAT OUR STAY AT HOSTAL FAR HOME PLAZA MAYOR WOULD HAVE BEEN "MAGNIFICENT", BASED ON THE PHOTOS THAT WE SAW OF THAT SUPERIOR HOSTAL...
Horrible smell 24/7. Towels never looked clean and always smelled weird. The blanket and sheets had permanent brown/black stains and also did not smell pleasant. Super small rooms and space as well
I think this place is great if you can get 2 for $70 per night. Few minor issues with cleanliness (blanket/sheets) but overall a good place, nice staff and carb loaded continental breakfast to set you up for the day. Simple but plenty of everything
The location is central and near a metro station. The night receptionist doesn't speak English which is not ideal but the morning receptionist was very friendly and helpful (spoke English).
The morning breakfast though basic, was a nice touch. The stay felt homy and cozy.

Overall disappointing experience
Staff was rude. The guy at the desk did not care about the customers he had, he was just herding people in and out.
Location is great. Overall hostel was very clean, shared bathroom was very clean, room was comfortable, beds were comfortable. Nothing negative to say. There is free breakfast but nothing special (some pastries pre-packaged, some fruit) but the fact that they even offer breakfast is great.
We only stayed one night and left early to catch the plane home. We asked the man at the desk to call us a taxi, but no taxi came and we had to go find one ourselves.
Pros:
Awesome wifi connectivity and speed in room.
Good location, not far from Puerta del Sol and a short 15min walk (or three metro stops) from the main Madrid Atocha train station.
Modern shower in room with great shower head and side spray function!
Cons:
Up on level 4 so there is lots of stairs to walk up, or a tiny little lift to get in.
Extremely noisy when we were there on a Thursday.
Included breakfast is quite minimal.
As I said above there was no room to move, if We ever go back to Madrid I would book a Twin room with the shower and toilet just outside,Hostel very clean and staff very nice
This was a nice, clean hostal well located. 5 minute walk to Puerta Del Sol and 1 minute to the Tirso Molina metro station. If you are looking to spent the night at a clean not
Very spacious room, this is a very good place to stay in. I do not recommend if you have a baby like we did since there is not enough space to accommodate a crib although they did for us.
Only stayed here one night on route to Cádiz, but I found the room to be clean and comfortable (if a bit on the small side; it could also do with more plug sockets), showers were fantastic, staff were helpful and WiFi worked well. The complimentary breakfast was also a welcome added extra.
As I have been traveling for 80 days this was my least favorite hostel or hotel. The front desk staff was not friendly and the shower in the room did not drain very good. The neighborhood was not very great for travel, as you had very sketchy people all around. Offered drugs several times right outside. Left one day early even after paying. Madrid was beautiful though!
This hostel is located right in the centre of Madrid: a half block from the Metro line 1, 2 blocks from Plaza San Jacinto, 4 blocks from Plaza Mayor. It is arranged as hostel rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. In spite of being shared, these facilities were very good. Everything was clean. Everything worked. I would stay again!
