Clean and adequate for the price...Posted Jul 2, 2014
This hostal has an excellent location by Callao Metro and is within walking distance to many attractions, shopping and restaurants. We had an interior room which was fairly quiet. The room seemed cooled by AC when we arrived but there didn't seem to be AC throughout the stay. There is elevator access up to 7th floor location, with capacity for 4 or so people which is typical for Spain. Staff seem friendly and pleasant but speak only Spanish. Every time I had a shower the hot water seem to run out, and Wifi was slow and at times not available. Still I recommend this Hostal for its good value and cleanliness.

Good stayPosted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: rate is good -
Cons: wifi is only good in the reception area, and in the hall way!
Location: in the city center - Gran Via, everything is right there.
Clean room, friendly staff, good location, reasonable rate, was good stay overall.

High value for moneyPosted Dec 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
Small single room, with nice bathroom. Perfect for a short stay, where you just need a place to sleep.

If you want to save money and stay in the center of Madrid this hostal is a fine option, but don't expect anything special. The one big problem is that not a single member of the staff speaks any English at all.

Good for the pricePosted Sep 29, 2012
Location: Similar to Times Square in NY City.
Room was small but ok for the price. Noise ok considering location of central tourist district.

Best hostal in the Gran ViaPosted Sep 25, 2012
Pros: The location, is clean, the people who works there are very friendly and help you in everything
Location: Is right in the Gran Via and front of one of Madrid landmark The Plaza Callao
This is our second stay in this hotel and I love it. The people make you as a family and they treat excellent. The room is always clean, and nice and the view we have to the Gran Via is excellent, also the location is superb, you can walk anywhere to shops, restaurants, etc. I really enjoy the stay and I would stay again

Close to Plaza Major and SolPosted Jan 24, 2012 on Hotels.com
Walking distance to Sol and Plaza Major where there are lot of stores and activities. Two subway stops to Plaza Cibeles and Prado, could also walk there in 20 minutes.

Hotel staff was friendly. However, I am still unhappy with the fact that they deducted 1st night's payment from my card without any notification when it was clearly stated that I was only supposed to pay the full sum upon arrival. There was free wi-fi available. Access card expired after the first day and we required help from the reception to open the door and reactivate the cards for us. Not a big issue here as there is always someone there. One downside would be that the heater is not on all the time and not through the night as well. we were so cold the whole night. Location was excellent though. It was along the shopping street and Zara is just a few steps away!
