Good service for the price

Posted Jul 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
It is a good hostel for the price. Located further from the center but close to a metro station with many of the main lines that lead all over Madrid.

Great bang for your buck

Posted Jun 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the subway (less than a 5-minute walk) and busy commercial streets. The rates are very affordable, with free WiFi and AC. The hotel and rooms are very clean and comfortable, with modern decor. The only incovenience for the typical American customer is the size of the shower. Everything else was great.

Nice hostel close to train and Bernabeu

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Clean. Friendly staff. Good location.
Location: Trains taking you 10 mins to Plaza Mayor. Close to Santiago Bernabeu.
Stayed 1 night while over watching a game at the Bernabeu. Hostel close to trains taking you to city and a 15 minute walk to ground. Very clean room with all necessary amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Budget hotel, very mediocre

Posted Oct 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very much okay if you are looking to NOT stay in the room or just for a stopover. Security of the hotel is good, location isnt that great. Its inside an alley which is very lonely in the night. But otherwise, its located near to the center of the city and good transport options available nearby.

Friendly Staff/Clean Modern Hostal

Posted Jun 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hostal Los Angeles was better than some hotels I have stayed it. We ran into a slight problem with our room (No AC) but was immediately transferred us to a new room. Towards the end of my stay the Wifi went out but they immediately had a technician come out to fix the problem. The problem was only fixed in one area of the hostal which was an inconvenience but the staff was so kind that I couldn't fault them for this technical issue. The rooms are clean and modern and have a homey feel. Plenty of sunlight came into the room and it was cleaned daily. I would stay here again!

Spotless and very comfortable, bit noisy outside

Posted May 28, 2013
The hotel itself was very clean and very comfortable and I would recommend it. The only slight drawback for some people might be the noise from the street outside, during the night and early morning .. it sounded like waste disposal trucks emptying bottle banks .. so some rooms might not offer absolute peace and quiet. Very close to the Cuatro Caminos underground station, and therefore handy for exploring the city. Good value.

unexpected surprise

Posted May 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
this hotel was advertised as a hostel, but it was definitely more of a hotel and it looked like it had been recently rennovated. our double room was really cosy and tastefully decorated with a clean and modern bathroom- it felt like we were staying at a friends house. the hotel has paid parking underneath but we managed to get a space on the road outside which was free. however, we were lucky as it was a saturday afternoon and it is only free from 3pm sat and all day sunday that it is free. the street was also really busy so we were just lucky i think. the hotel is a 1 minute walk to the nearest subway station which then takes about 5 - 10 mins to reach the centre of town and costs about 1.60 euros. we went to watch the football at bernabau stadium, and it was about a 15 minute walk from there, and felt very safe. there are lots of shops, cafes and bars nearby and even at 11pm at night, we were able to get something delicious to eat. or if you prefer, there is a mcdonalds right next to the subway too. we had a friend with us who knew which street the hotel was on, but i dont know how easy it would be to find otherwise. although it is just off a main road so i think it would still be easy enough.
