Location is amazing!Posted Mar 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
May find it difficult to find at first, the doors have huge door handles/knocks though and the sign is small so just be weary of that.. other than that its very clean, the bathrooms are cleaned well everyday, as are rooms if asked. Price is also amazing! Definitely recommend if its a quick little stay and you aren't looking for luxury.

It's worth what it asks for. Very close to Sol (5 min walking). All facilities kept clean and staff was kind and helpful.

Lovely hostelPosted Jun 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
LGreat for what it is, basic place to stay right in the centre of Madrid. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the wifi worked well. The street it's on is not that exciting but it's a very short walk to Puerta del Sol and other very central parts. The only small downside is that the walls are a bit thin, and since Madrid nightlife goes quite late, you might be woken up by people coming in if you're a light sleeper. Bring some earplugs if you are and this is the perfect place to stay -- the price can't be beaten.

Home Away From HomePosted Apr 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great hostal/pension. Located in a safe neighborhood surrounded by beautiful Baroque buildings. All major sights and countless cafes/restaurants are in short walking distance. Staff couldn´t be any friendlier or accommodating. I had a nicely appointed single room without a bathroom, but it did have a sink which was convenient. The shared bathrooms are absolutely spotless and huge. This hostal is more like staying in a grand apartment and at night it is peacefully quiet.

Ok Budget HostelPosted Oct 24, 2012
Pros: The staff were very nice.
Cons: Wifi not reachable to all rooms and weird location for one of the baths.
Location: The location is great. Very close to Puerto Del Sol and Plaza Cibeles
Small & Basic rooms, but it is all you need for a Madrid getaway. The hostel is on the third floor, but there is a lift. One of the bath areas is right in front of the reception area which is a bit weird, but it is not a very busy hostel, so there is not lots of traffic. The area is very convenient to the city and the metro. Sevilla is the closest metro, however SOL is very close also. The airport bus would drop you and pick you up by the Cibeles Palace which is more convenient than the metro and is the same amount.

Somewhere to sleep if you don't mind the smellPosted Jan 30, 2012
Pros: Location, staff
Location: Near Sol
I had smallest room, but if you only want to sleep in a hotel why pay for more? Friendly, helpful (english speaking) receptionist. Strange musty smell in room was only downside.

Basic hotel, with very central location.Posted Jan 28, 2012
Basic hotel, with very central location. It's in an old building within which several floors have been converted to small privately run hotels. My room had the 'feature' of containing the boiler heating water for the entire hotel - no problem, but it looked a little strange having this on show. Very helpful staff.

Great place for a great pricePosted Jan 24, 2012 on Hotels.com
This place was great for my three day stay in Madrid. It is centrally located, and easy to find. The staff was helpful and even allowed me to check in at 9am since my flight was so early in the morning and there are no baggage lockers in Plaza del Sol's metro station. The room was clean and the maid service was great! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is staying in central Madrid.
