We turned up early as we had been on a night bus prior to our visit. We were allowed to check-in straight away, which was a big relief! Very helpful staff pleasant room, equipped with a modern bathroom.

clean and convenient

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Everything. |Friendly staff.
Cons: can't think of anything. Swimming pool would have been the icing on the cake but there was no room for one.
Location: metro, bus station, shopping mall, restaurants and river walks. We got a 2 day pass on the Madrid City Tour Bus hop on and off and it was good value.
never having been to Madrid we were not sure about the location of this hotel but it was perfect . Opposite the metro and the bus station with large shopping mall. Lots of restaurants close by and lovely river walks. Large parks just around the corner. Not far from the cable car. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.and gave us lots of useful tips and directions. Buffet breakfast was better than we expected with scrambled eggs and bacon as well as cold meats and cheese. Room was lovely, large and clean with large double shower in the bathroom. Safe was free( unusual these days). You can hire bikes at the hotel and there were lots of lovely safe riverside cycle paths. Didn't feel ike being in the city.

Hotel in good location

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Tea/coffee in room
Location: As above location close to middle of city
Very nice hotel, no tea or coffee facilities in room but available on a reading/lobby area for a small charge. Hotel set in a good location for metro. Or walking to various points in the city. Would stay here again

City Break

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable, safe in room, large beds, convenient for Metro.
Cons: The lifts. Had to wait a while. Unfortunate that one out of two lifts was out of order during our stay.
Location: Excellent for transport hub across the road. Small shopping centre has some eating places. You would have to get the metro for sight seeing places.
A conveniently situated hotel for exploring the city as it has a Metro station - Principal Pio - across the road. Buy a multiple number of Metro tickets from the machines ( easy to use because you can click for an English translation ) and you save loads of euros per journey - eg.- 10 journeys for 12 euros and the ticket can be shared over the machine! There is an airport tax of 3 euros per person on top of the 12 euros. The hotel is modern with ample space in rooms and en-suite. Lounge area where there are facilities to purchase tea and coffee - milk and sugar provided and other vending machines for soft drinks and water. Next door is a cafe where breakfast ( cafe, toast or croissant, and freshly squeezed orange juice ) can be enjoyed for 3.5 euros. Ask for room on higher floor with balcony - stunning views of Real Palace from floor 8 terrace! Best places to eat for atmosphere around 'Opera' - one station away from Principal Pio.

The hotel is superbly located for exploring Madrid and is a great place to come back to. The rooms, lounge and roof terrace are well designed, great interiors and well maintained. The staff are friendly. Highly recommend!
