Amazing value for moneyPosted Jun 29, 2015
This hotel was about 5 minutes from the city centre by metro with a main station right over the road. It was modern and spacious and was amazing value for money! I don't really have anything to complain about, we did find little things such as a tear in our curtains and a bobby pin on the floor and what looked like a grape stalk in the kitchen drain but it didn't even matter because it was still amazing for the price we were paying to stay that close to the centre! The staff were mostly friendly and they always said hello and goodbye. One thing worth mentioning though is we ended up only going for breakfast there once, as it is €8,50 for a mediocre breakfast, were as just down the road was a croissant and coffee with jam and butter for only €2, but this was a minor thing that didn't even really bother is as it was literally about 5 doors down! Also as an aside the safes are free which was a good surprise. Overall it was amazing value for money and I would definitely stay again.

Great location, lovely modern hotelPosted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Great location. Modern, clean and spacious.
Location: 15 mins walk to centre. Madrid Bus Tour is a great way to visit the sights.
This hotel is a great base for a short break to Madrid. I was there with my 16 yearold daughter for three days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is just across the road from Principe Pio station, so handy to use the Renfe line from the airport. With the added bonus of 110 shops in the Principe Pio centre. The hotel is about 10/15 mins walk from the Palace and the Plaza Mayor. The walk is a little uphill but there are buses and the metro will take you into any Metro Station. We walked, the city is beautiful and too good to miss. Fabulous shopping, great food...perfect

Very nice rooms close to the metroPosted Jun 20, 2015
Location: You have to visit the San Miguel Market. Any tapas you can imagine all freshly cooked and prepared before you, most just a Euro each.
Very clean and tidy room. Excellent shower/bathroom facilities, air con and WiFi. Great proximity to the metro , 50 yards across the street. We have stayed in the 4 star hotel next door but think this was a nicer room though apparently only 3 star!Would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent hotel centrally located in Madrid!Posted Jun 16, 2015
This was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our vacation in Spain. Nice people, helpful, good breakfast, clean rooms, nice showers and towels, great beds, good insulatoin so there is not much noise. The roof terrace on the 8th floor in definitely worth a visit in the evening to look out on the castle and the mountains as the sun sets. The garage is right under the hotel, you pay 20 Euros per night, but the garage is clean and navigable. The hotel is right next to Principe Pio, a main metro station, which means easy access to anywhere you want to go in Madrid, and also to the airport. The castle is within very easy walking distance, and the rest of the city is only a short cab ride away. There are several good restaurants in the neighborhood, El Urogallo is just down the street, and some of the most highly rated Tripadvisor restaurants are within easy walking distance. And best of all, the rooms are reasonably priced.

Nice hotel in convenient locationPosted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: Apart from the great location, our hotel room was smart and clean and had a safe. We had a balcony with views of the Royal Palace.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a refrigerator in the room.
Location: The Temple of Debod, a gift to Madrid from Egypt, with its lovely gardens, and the Teleferico cable car with its 10 minute ride were near by.
The Actor Madfor in Madrid was right opposite the Principe Pio railway station so it was easy to access any part of Madrid. Plaza de Espana where we could pick up the Hop-on-hop-off bus and tours to other places was only one station away and within walking distance. Principe Pio also had a classy shopping centre inside with a good variety of eating places. There were many eating places on the street nearby too.
