Best possible stayPosted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Absolutely everything
Cons: Probably, better restaurant
Location: It ios not the best location, but by far the best choice. Please believe me!!!
I used to go to the most expensive hotels.....Claridge is close to them in many respects but at a really affordable and convenient price. This is the best deal I have had in many trips and it is definitely going to be my ONLY CHOICE when I visit Madrid. I left my wallet in the bar--with more than 2000 euros-- and they sent it to my room almost immediately. Special congratulations to the Barman and the receptionist Please read this again. It is the best possible Choice

Highly DesirablePosted Nov 10, 2013
Location: The location is not perfect for the museums and city center, but the metro is right across the street and most sites can be reached easily.
Very comfortable rooms. Well maintained and clean. Cordial and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast for Northern Europeans and Americans. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in Madrid.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful staffPosted Nov 6, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness, artwork, friendly staff and proximity to metro
Location: The Puerta del Sol, Prado Museum, Royal Palace and great restaurants
We stayed at the Claridge our final days in Madrid. The hotel is beautiful and staff very accommodating and helpful (except for the rude blonde waiter at the cafe/bar). They are walking distance close to the metro but we found everything else too far to walk so opted for cab rides to all the sites.

September In Madrid - Wonderful StayPosted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: We loved the location.
Cons: We ate at the hotel restaurant on our first night in Madrid. The hotel restaurant needs improvement, including the menu and chef.
Location: The hotel is located in a residential area o Madrid providing a wonderful opportunity to experience the city from an insiders prospective.
The Hotel Claridge is centrally located on Plaza Conde Casal in a residential area of Madrid. There are restaurants, coffee shops,, bakeries, and outdoor cafés in the vicinity that are popular with all of the local residents. The hotel is easily accessible to all of the tourist attractions and areas by bus and train. If walking in Madrid is your fancy, it is a lovely area for walking with destination "El Retiro". The hotel staff was courteous and always ready to assist , answer questions and resolve any concerns, Our room was large and comfortable. It was decorated in a contemporary style, with large windows that opened easily. There was a large bench for luggage, a safe and a large closet for clothing. The room also had a mini refrigerator. The bathroom was large and modern with a walk-in shower. The hotel was quiet as we never heard other guests in the hallway or elsewhere.

hotel close to metroPosted Sep 24, 2013
we found the staff at the Hotel Claridge very friendly and helpful as well as courteous. The rooms were very well decorated and air conditioning was a blessing too. Cafes opposite made for cheap and tasty breakfasts and the metro was fast into town so that we could enjoy the sites even on a short visit. to be recommended.

Good hotel, so-so locationPosted Jun 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Claridge for 5 nights in mid-June 2013. The room and the bathroom were big and clean and had the advertised amenities (except for the king-size bed which ended up being two twin beds next to one another). The wifi internet was free but very slow. The location is somewhat of a drawback. On the one hand, the hotel is right next to the subway stop of line 6 (circular line) and is only 25-minute walk away from the main train station (Puerta de Atocha). On the other hand, it is somewhat removed from most attractions in Madrid, and there are very few restaurants close to it.
