Good Location, but so old and very small rooms.Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: They need to improve the staff preparation and make renovation inside the rooms.
Location: This is a good location.
Good location, nice building, old rooms, very old appliances and uncomfortable matters. Air condition very old and they have locked the control, so you can't go lower as you want. Rooms are hot at night.

NoisePosted Sep 12, 2014
Due to work on the hotel there was noises like drilling ect. This didn't bother us however notice about the disruption either at check-in or at the front desk would have been nice.

Great hotel within easy reach of the main sitesPosted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Good standard room good facilities
Cons: Nothing springs to mind
Location: Within easy walking distance of the Royal Palace and Playa mayor
We spent three nights in Madrid the Emperador was a really comfortable hotel close to all the main sites. The hotel staff were all very helpful. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as 20 Euros per person was a bit expensive especially when there are much cheaper options close by. The room was big enough for the three of us. The roof top pool was a welcome facility and a good way to relax after a busy day in Madrid

The staff went out of their way to accommodate us whenever we requested something. Accommodation very good. Breakfast overpriced

Good for sight-seeingPosted Aug 23, 2014
Good location. Very expensive breakfast. Booked double, allocated twin: given choice of alternative room which was a double but smaller and darker.

Good location with poolPosted Aug 21, 2014
Booked a club room following recommendation . Clean spacious room although a slight smell of smoke .... Good location easy access to the airport via the Metro The Milan tour bus stop is very close by and the Plaza Mayor a 10 minute stroll away . The swimming pool on the tenth floor was a great bonus with plenty of seating both in sun and shade . A good place to relax after a day of sightseeing . Didn't eat in the hotel - preferred to go out & experience pavement cafés . Good value .

Nice old hotel right in the middle of busy GranViaPosted Aug 16, 2014
It was quiet and comfortable. The room could have been a little cleaner, but all in all it was a great central location and a nice hotel!

Hot City Cool HotelPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Great big old rooms with a touch of class in the reception areas breakfast is excellent and the bar and pool on the roof are an added benefit
Cons: Can't quite understand why the rooftop bar closes at sunset in summer as it would be an excellent place to relax and enjoy the views
Madrid is a superb city to visit but unless you can take the heat one to take at a gentle pace in the summer in July and August. Stunning architecture and small enough to walk around with plenty of tapas bars to stop off to refuel and rehydrate
