Good Hotel, Great Location

Posted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: The location to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium as this was our reason for our visit to Madrid.
Cons: Replenishment of breakfast foods and drinks.
Location: Good safe location and shops, bars and restaurants close by. Santiago Bernabeu is 10 mins walk away.
We stayed at the Amaral due to its location to the Santiago Bernabeu. We found the hotel to be exactly as we expected, good value for ,money and in a good location. The hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was basic but clean and had everything we needed. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day of our 5 night stay and the complimentary water every morning was a nice touch. We had organised breakfast which was good and they had the usual selection of cereals, fruit, cold meats, bread rolls and toast. There was a hot selection which we didn't try. There is a supermarket next to the hotel and plenty of restaurants and a few bars close by. The metro station is about a 10 minute walk away and it takes about 10 minutes on the metro to get into the centre of the city,

Nice, basic hotel the financial area.

I stayed here prior to beginning my VaughanTown experience, and I was at the hotel for less than 24 hours. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. They spoke enough English to compensate for my awful Spanish. There is a convenience store nearby for snacks.

Good access to metro

Posted Oct 1, 2012
Away from the city centre, but in a handy location between 2 metro stations (Cuzco and Tetuan) so easy to reach the main sites. There's a supermarket just behind the hotel and a few restaurants nearby. Often has good rates for the single traveller and you don't get stuck in a shoebox, you get a double room for single occupancy.

Close to Bernabeu

Posted Sep 20, 2012
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Twin bed
Location: Close to Bernabeu
The hotel was satisfactory. Small shower. Bed creaked. Booked a twin bed but got a double. Very good situation for going to football at Real Madrid. It did the job at a medium price.

Great for the money & easy Metro ride to central

Posted Jul 4, 2012
Pros: Cleanliness and room size for the price
Cons: No fridge in the room, no towels provided for use at the pool, cost of breakfast
Location: 10 minute walk to metro + 10 minute metro ride to Gran Via / Sol ...... quieter then central madrid
Well kept hotel in nth suburbs of Madrid Central. A couple of the staff were particularly friendly whilst a couple of the other staff were particularly rude so it is hard to generalise about the staffing at the hotel. Room was a decent size and clean, more then you could hope for for the price we paid. The set-up of the pool with 2 hour 'passes' worked out fine for us even in the middle of a couple of hot days, though the reception staff refused to give us towels to use saying we would have to use our bath towels and wait until tomorrow for them to be changed (rather abruptly at that). We had friends staying in the centre of town, and to walk to the metro (Cuzco or Tetuan) and a ride down to Gran Via or Sol to meet them would take about 25 minutes in total. Was in a way kind of cool to have to catch the metro as it adds to the 'local' experience and it was rather simple with each trip costing about 1.50 Euro. Do be mindful of pickpockets though ...... not scary but I tried to stop one robbery, more a nuisance then threatening as such. Breakfast is 14 euro + 8% tax...... better off going to VIPS Cafe across the road. We were there for a festival, Madrid Central would have been a noisy nightmare, so staying a little way out was actually a good thing. I would stay again if budget requirements dictated again !

Pleasent Hotel (with insuficiente parking lot)

Posted Apr 10, 2012
The hotel is very clean and confortable however thereĀ“s not enough room for all cars guests at same time in the parking lot, so we must leave our car at the street in front of the hotel paying the parking meter.
