“Off the Map!!!”
This hotel was literally off of the city of Madrid map we purchased at the train station upon arriving into Madrid. The nearest metro stop to the hotel was 45 minutes from Madrid Atocha train station, and then a 15 minute walk to the hotel. The area is very quiet as it is a residential neighborhood, and thus has no shopping or dining within about a 15 minute walk. The hotel itself is nothing to write home about. It almost looks like a modern house converted into a hotel and given the location that wouldn't surprise me. The rooms were okay, a little cramped but livable, however, the fridge in the room didn't work, and there were large stains on the floor. The breakfast was okay but too expensive for what you get, and it is apparently up to the hotel staff which breakfast they want to serve in the morning (the "buffet" - cheese, deli meats, breads, yogurt, coffee, fruit all for 10 euros, or the "continental" - coffee and croissant for 4.50 euros). Lastly, the air conditioning was all or nothing, it could be set to a temperature, but it would continuously blow air all day and night long. My solution was to turn the power off to the A/C, which proved to be a mistake as it could not be turned back on because the hotel had it programmed somehow. It would not have been a big deal if it wasn't late June. My final thoughts are, if you are familiar with Madrid and have a car, this may not be a bad hotel as it is cheap and quiet, but if you aren't I'd look elsewhere.
“Nice hotel on the outskirts of the city”
If you don't mind traveling on the Metro (subway) or bus, this hotel is great! Situated in a quiet, safe neighborhood on the outskirts of Madrid, the hotel is dekked out in a contemporary decor. The continental breakfast is perfect with just enough variety and very peaceful (the hotel only has 25 rooms or so). The rooms are just big enough for two travelers to stay comfortably. The staff is very courteous. My only complaint was that our room did not have the ability to switch between the heat and AC (the AC was not turned on yet) and it did not have a ceiling fan or bathroom ventilation fan. Therefore after showering, the room was very muggy - at least we were able to open the window in the main living area to alleviate this (the maids would close it after we left).
“Not very considerate during Air Traffic Controller Strike”
Due to the air traffic controller strike our plane was delayed and then rerouted to Paris so we arrived a day late. I assumed they would honor our reservation or at least our payment since they knew it was out of our control. They did have a 1 person room available which we squeezed another bed into but they made us pay again. 3 of us in the tiny room was irritating but considering all that was going on in Spain we were happy to have a roof over our head. I thought they should have at least given us a great deal on the room.
“loved everything”
if you like the comfort, good clean rooms, comfortable beds, free internet, affordable price, and not afraid of taking metro - you will love this too
“Adequate, interesting decor, with some issues”
This hotel is on a very narrow, crowded back street with ZERO parking, even for dropping off guests. We had a small car to park and walked quite some distance. The room was adequate, clean, very modern design. Standard amenities fine. Didn't do breakfast. We found a different airport hotel for the night before our exit from Spain, about 5 Euro more with airport shuttle, lovely service, and easy to find (Clement Barajas). Finding this hotel our first day in Spain was just plain hard!
“more than expected!”
I was in Madrid for a few days before heading to Sevilla for 4 months. I chose this hotel for the free airport shuttle as didn't want to have to worry about transportation after a looooong flight to Europe. I emailed ahead of time to make sure the shuttle would be operating. All I had to do was call once I arrived at the airport and the shuttle was there in no time. The front desk staff was super sweet and friendly. They even let me check in at 9am the day I arrived so I could nap after a 15 + hour flight. Everything was great, the hotel is quite close to a metro stop so the city was within easy reach. There isn't much food around the hotel, but there are some places not too far away. I would definitely stay again!
“I will definetively will consider it for my next visit to Madrid”
The hotel is in a very convinient location, just a few blocks from Canillejas Metro Station and also to a shopping center ( Corte Ingles). Is located in a residencial area very quite and secure. Near the Airport...excellent and very convinient location. Price is afordable. The have breakfast options and free internet. Shuttle to the Airport is available. Customer service was good.
“going back!”
Great hotel!!
“Wonderful hotel”
The hotel staff was by far one of the most friendly and helpful I've seen in hotels. They were personable and energenic and always very friendly. The hotel was not very close to the downtown area of Madrid, but was very close to a metro stop that easily took you right into the city. The room and bathroom was very clean, and the bed was more comfortable than most hotel beds I've experienced. It was also very quiet at night; definitely located in a good neighborhood. This is a great hotel and I would definitely come back to it.
“Nice stay, friendly and helpful staff”
The hotel was clean and easy to get to from the airport by city bus. If you want to use their free airport shuttle, you must call ahead. The room was clean and comfortable and the wifi worked well. It is a bit far from the city center, but the Metro is close by. I would certainly stay in this hotel again.
