“Highly recommend this hotel”
The Hotel Liabeny was everything we hoped for and more. Great location. Wonderful staff. Room was quite spacious by European standards (particularly for the price paid). When returning to Madrid, we will definitely stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling there.
“This is a very friendly hotel”
Aparte for the great service from the staff, there is a good restaurand and cafeteria. One of the GREAT advantages of Hotel Liabeny is that it is close to everything in Madrid; yo can walk to most of the interesting places downtown.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Madrid. Loved the fact that it was located on a pedestrian street. Easy walking distance to most sights. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Wonderful buffet breakfast.
“Location”
This hotel was located on a small side street which was initially difficult to find. Since I was coming from the Metro, with luggage, I was a bit concerned. The Expedia write up should have mentioned the nearest Metro station, which turned out to be very close, but not the one I used based on the information I got from Expedia.

I booked this hotel as and Expedia Unpublished Rate hotel, and was quite happy with the result. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the Plaza Mayor and Sol metro station, and was very clean and comfortable. I think for European standards the room size was pretty good too.
“Great location!”
Tucked away on a quiet street, this is a charming , old world hotel. Best ingredient is that Puerta del Sol Metro is steps away. This gives you easy access to where ever you want to go in Madrid- including the AVE should you go to a day trip to Toledo. The Metro is easy to learn and there is always help . There are several restaurants near by, you can actually walk to the Prado- bit long but possible.
“Would use it again”
Excellent hotel and location. We had a first floor room and if you opened the window it was noisy all night. It was a little warm in the room, so it was either noisy or warm. I will request a room on a higher floor if I travel to Madrid again, but I will certainly plan on staying in this hotel.
