Internet connection is appallingly slow, internet connection is a vital function for 21st century, and it was barely on 2 bars, it is extremely slow, even for regular browsing

Hotel is older, but quaint - small, but suited our purposes. Just don't miss the call box on the outside edge of the door.

We have stayed at Hotel Life before so thought we knew what to expect. The hotel check in was difficult because it was to be done remotely. The emails were in Spanish and I contacted the hotel to ask them to send me the information in English. They sent it again in Spanish. The hotel was cold and the heating wasn't working properly. We had to dress up warm to go to bed! The hotel is now very tired and needs refurbishing.

Ok stay
I was supposed to have stayed at Gran Vía and after waiting for a code past 16:30 I had to find a number to get someone to explain. I had to make a few calls to get an answer to be told to go to another sister hotel. The service was excellent! However the room smell was strong of cigarette and the AC did not cool down the room.

It was right in the centre easy to walk to the major squares: plaza major, gran via, calle callao, porta del sol, plaza espana. Maybe more breakfast, hot food in the service. The room was clean and tidy everyday. I definetly will recommed it.

Definitely recommend
We had a really comfortable and pleasant stay at Hotel Life. Check in was located at a different hotel just on the next street and it was all super easy. The room was spacious and in a great location, we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. Would definitely recommend this place to other travellers

Good for the money
Great location as close to Gran Via, metro stops, and parking lots. Reception is handled by another location close by. Room is clean, neat, and functional. There is no refrigerator or electric kettle.

Good affordable choice!
Overall a lovely stay, this hotel is owned by a larger hotel around the block where all of the check-in/out and concierge services are located. The room was clean, quite, and featured a nice little balcony overlooking the street which you could stand on. The hotel also offered free "breakfast" (pre-wrapped croisants and juice/coffee downstairs) which was very nice. Hotel Life is in a great neighborhood very close to shopping, bars, restaurants, and a short walk from many sightseeing sights. The shower was odd which as it had no curtain/door which made for a bit off a mess which we felt bad about. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay at hotel Life.

Hotel incorrectly advertises that it has Air conditioning. It does not. Hotel manager who is never actually on premesis determines the room temperature for all rooms on each floor. I learned this after receiving several lies by the offsite reception when they were telling me that it was snowing in Madrid the day before and so they turned off the AC - it was not snowing previously. Mattresses are thin and uncomfortable and towels have a musty smell. Don’t be fooled by “cute” decor - the place is not very nice - especially for the 100 Eur/night price.

Good location, not too loud
The hotel was nice and the room was comfortable. You have to check in/out at another hotel, which is close by. Location was great for walking to city center, shopping and restaurants. Subways are close by.

Quite hotel but stone throw away from all attracti
This is really nice compact hotel. Very clean, beautifully decorated and close to all attractions. Unlike other hotels I have been, this is spacious and there are some communal facilities. We were also given complimentary mini breakfast which was a good surprise. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here on my next visit.

Great location. Slightly quirky hotel. It was a surprise that breakfast was included... a bag appeared on our door each day, but really wann't worth the effort. I would stay there again.

Tight Fit
Room was too small, bed angled so we couldn't get around it easily. Had to get keys at another location, not at all convenient. Breakfast was not good at all, a plastic enclosed croissant and a juice box. Shower was horrible. The shower head kept falling off just missing my head. The whole bathroom was very small with no place to hand robes ... Place was clean enough, but location was very noisy at night. You could hear people talking and the garbage trucks at 2:00 in the morning was a treat.

This hotel is very simple and basic but for the price good value. Do be aware though that the nature of the conversion means you will NOT get a quiet night if that is what you are looking for. You can hear people talking in rooms next door and every door or lock movement on your floor. Nicely looked after though and friendly staff.

Nice city centre stay
Very nice few days in the centre of Madrid, near most of the major Metro lines. Google Maps had the wrong road address so we got a little lost coming off the metro and it took 3 taxi drivers to tell me which street it was on.

DIFFERENT!
This hotel is very close to the Gran Via and walking distance to Sol, Chueca, La Latina, and many other areas of madrid. It has no manned reception, having to check in and out at a nearby hotel, but that doesn't bother us. There is a buzzing nightlife in the little streets around the hotel and. The room we had was on the small side but spotlessly clean and very well decorated, and the bed really comfy! There are no bar or restaurant, but in a city like madrid it's not needed, enjoy chocolate con churros for breakfast in sol, lunch tapas with a few beers in any bar you see, be adventurous and walk onto any bar you see! And have dinner at any restaurant in town center! Lovely stay, definitely returning to hotel Life

Hotel is very much over priced, for check and check out you need to go down the street with all your bags and then bring them up as well..... Breakfast was paid but for my surprise its was not a buffet one and a worst break fast i have ever had in my whole traveling ..... I would never recommend to stay over here.

Great hotel
The title says it all, parts were still under construction but it looks like they will be finished soon. rooms are big and stylish for what they cost. the location was perfect, quiet at night, close to metro, safe and near lots of shops. I would stay here again.
