Hotel Ópera is literally across the street from the Madrid Royal Opera and Royal Palace and is ideally located close to many of Madrid’s iconic landmarks. The hotel restaurant serves scrumptious local cuisine and has beverages for every taste. However, the BEST THING about staying at Hotel Ópera is its AMAZING weekly opera/Zarzuela dinner show with world class opera singers and musicians. You will enjoy this show even if you are not an opera buff or if you don’t speak Spanish. You will not be disappointed by this diamond of a show in this gem of a hotel in Madrid’s historic “centro” or downtown.

Great stay other than the spiders in the room. There were bugs in my room. I was very disappointed in that. I also thought I was getting a jacuzzi and a tub, not a jacuzzi-tub. The price was too much for what you get.

Clean rooms with great views of the city. The restaurant at the hotel had great food and coffee. The location was very walkable to the Royal Palace, shopping and dining options. Quick access to Uber as well. It also had a nice fitness center to enjoy.

This is a lovely hotel in the centre of Madrid, felt perfect location to see the city and felt safe as a female solo traveller. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly and helpful.

This hotel has a great location, close to the Madrid center. We walked everywhere from here. Great dining options nearby, even a next door Paella restaurant that was amazing. The room was comfortable, bathroom very spacious with a big jacuzzi tub. We enjoyed our stay here.

Great sleeping arrangement, location
We would absolutely recommend this room type (quad) and location. There were four separate beds made up upon our arrival. Perfect for our jet-lagged family of four to get some rest! From here, it was easy to walk or catch the metro wherever we wanted to go.

From arrival to departure, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming and always on hand to help. My room was very clean and welcoming with a spotless bathroom and room service each day. The location is amazing as the metro is a minute walk away and the hotel is pretty much part of central Madrid so you walk out of the hotel, and you've got everything within walking distance and a wide choice of bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel was quiet and peaceful even though it's so close to the centre of everything. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would happily stay here again and recommend to friends.

Outstanding opera experience over dinner.
This was our second stay at the Hotel Opera. The highlight was an excellent Saturday evening dinner to opera. We were joined by a pianist, a soprano, a contralto and a tenor who performed famous arias and some light Spanish opera. The rooms, cafe and service were excellent.
