Tiny roomPosted Sep 17, 2014
Cons: I'm sure there are some nice rooms in the hotel, but they need to eliminate these tiny ones. Unless you are 5 feet tall, the bed is too short for you
Location: Close to the Palace
Do not book this room! This is possibly the smallest hotel room that I have ever stayed in and definitely the smallest bed. Seriously, it was like a toddler bed. The staff was not very friendly and we could hear people yelling in the street until sunrise.

City BreakPosted Sep 4, 2014
Hotel was in sun excellent location to all of the main city attractions. 5min walk to Gran Via, 5min walk to the Royal Palace, metro links to airport. Excellent hotel for a City break.

Great location but too tinyPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: The location.
Cons: Do a better job of cleaning. I think there's not much that can be done about the size of the room.
This hotel is in a great location. You can walk to all the major sites and it's steps away from the metro. BUT, the room was tiny, really tiny, even for one person. That made the experience very unpleasant.

Nice hotel in good locationPosted Aug 10, 2014
Location: Next to palace and cathedral ( well worth a visit). Everywhere else ithin 30 min walk but metro and city tour bus nearby.
It was a nice hotel with frendly staff and in a quiet location, yet close to metro etc. Nearby are restaurants and shops. Only downside was that the single room was too small. No room to put case and wardrobe space far too small.

Fab hotel , close to the town and royal palace.Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and good value for money
Cons: Being able to change money at reception.
Location: Close to the main square and shopping areas, 2 mins walk to the Royal Palace ( stunning history) great tapas restaurants ,close to Madrids stadiums
We booked this for my Husbands 50th birthday, Hotel Opera was a great place to stay whilst in Madrid, far enough out from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk to the main square and shopping areas , plus great restaurants. The Hotel staff on reception, especially the evening guys, were helpful, spoke fab English to help give us advice on places to go, even highlighting the map to show where the best places were and also how to get to the Bernabeu football stadium. We didn't eat an evening meal at the hotel, however the food looked great, we did have breakfast buffet, great value for money and filling. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, we had an upgraded room, with jacuzzi and balcony, very clean rooms. The manager was also very helpful, looking after our bags, once we checked out , and arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport. If in Madrid you should definitely use this hotel. Well done Hotel Opera, great service and thankyou

Great location with great servicePosted Jul 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is at a perfect location. There is a metro station and a hop on/off bus station very close. The staff was very helpful as well. The only downside was that the telephone in the room was not working and there was a squeaky sound in the room, but I did not tell the reception about it since it did not bother me. I am sure they would have fixed it if I had told them about it. Would def. stay there again.

Nice hotel close to center of MadridPosted Jul 7, 2014
We stayed at this hotel in July 2014. We were in a quadruple which was quite spacious by European standards. The staff was friendly and helpful. We only had an issue with WiFi, which was very intermittent and slow.

Just good locationPosted Jul 4, 2014
Cons: The rooms and the policies with the customers.
Location: Very good, close to the Gran Via and the center.
Dissapointing because they gave up my rooms to other people who extended their stay, and i had a paid reservation for a long time. when we arrive, late afternoon, they said they gave up our rooms.

Opera HolidayPosted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: The staff are excellent. Beyond helpful when French strike delayed departure. Friendly, kind personal service.
Cons: Single rooms could be larger. No BBC news channel.
Location: Opposite Teatro Real and the Royal Palace. Close to underground station; most things within walking distance.
I've stayed here several times over a number of years and always enjoyed my stay.

Great hotel, excellent locationPosted Jun 16, 2014
With close reach to all if not most of the main attractions and shops, this is the best place you can stay at in Madrid. Room was clean, comfortable and cosy. Highly recommend staying here.
