Great location

Great location. Helpful staff. Charming hotel. The door-like windows of the room opened into the charming street. Very nice.

Pros: Location. Price.
Cons: Bathrooms left much to be desired.

Decent hotel, but fell short of expectations. Very good, central location.

Much better than expected!

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing at this price
This hotel had a classic Madrid feel about it. Just down a side street off the Gran Via, it was wonderfully located for the contrasting delights of Madrid. On the one hand there was the shopping and architectural glory of the Gran Via and adjoining main thoroughfares - on the other, the seedier, down to earth buzz and nightlife of Horteleza. With convenience stores, bars and restaurants aplenty right on our doorstep, one really could not ask for a better place to stay to enjoy this great city. The room was clean and much nicer than I expected for the price, the shower was good (very important!), and the hotel staff efficient and helpful. I would certainly stay here again and I would happily recommend it to anybody wanting a great central location within easy walking distance of anything worth seeing or doing in Madrid.

Great location

Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: location, friendly staff
Location: Madrid is not that large so everything is in walking distance if you enjoy walking and taking in the sights
Having a laptop in the room was a great bonus although a little tricky to work out how to set up at first. Street can be a little noisy being in a fairly lively neighbourhood.

What a little gem! Couldn't ask for better location. Virtually on grand via with access to shops, tapas bars and tourist spots. Smack outside metro and tour bus stop for easy access around Madrid also. Hotel was comfortable and clean. Huge rooms also. Friendly staff. Couldn't ask for any more

Great for short stay in Madrid

Pros: location, front desk helpful
Hotel room was a little worn around the edges, but totally fine for home base while exploring Madrid. Front desk was helpful. Walk into Chueca to escape the tourist traps on Gran Via.

Great location, friendly staff. Hotel is very basic, no frills. Good free breakfast. Great place if all u need is a bed, a shower and a place to leave your suitcase.

Modern and up to date.

Pros: All good.
Cons: The breakfast is extensive and fairly yummy but get there early in that it is cramped.
Location: Great for dropping your shopping bags off during the day, uber central.
Love the location, the hotel and the staff. The room is really great, they do a lot with light and the layout to make a small space seem large. I had an inside room by choice and it was quiet - you do have thin walls and hall noise but quiet in comparison to most of my other hotels.

Good location but not great sleep experience

Posted Aug 20, 2013
Matresses are not very good., and the wifi is not working very fine. The take pride from being tech oriented, but the laptops on the front desk are old and slow. Some maintenance is needed in some parts of the hotel. Overall, you feel like a modern chic hotel but then 5 min later you start finding small things... like that of the wifi, the mattress quite thin and not confortable, if you wake up later than 2pm nobody to clean up your room... They have a good price, but so many other places in Madrid offer similar prices so next time I am not gonna repeat with Petit Palace

Nice. Hotel - impossible drop off

Posted Aug 7, 2013
Cons: Curbside accessibility. See above.
Location: Great location. Close to treason stration , plaza del sol, museums etc.
My biggest complaint is lack of from door drop off / pick up. When we first arrived, I had to drive around the block ~5 times (not easy to do with back alleys & one way streets) before I was able to pull into one of 3 spots curbside. Packed long enough to unload the car. After this, after an initial struggle getting to the parking deck across the main thoroughfare, I. Learned how to get the the deck & just transported multiple pieces of luggage the ~4/5 blocks back to the hotel.
