Very pleasant hotel close to metro

Cons: Not much
Location: Excellent location near Metro and cafés etc.and very pleasant walking round the block.
Pleasant and obliging staff.spotlessly clean hotel with excellent breakfasts.y

New age hotel in an old city

Pros: The modern, clean look of the room, the A/C worked very well, the king bed was very nice and had very nice linens. In room computer.
Cons: The dining room: poor quality food, fairly high prices. The phone service, way too expensive.
Location: Good location, a 10 -15 minute walk to great shopping and beautiful parks. Starbucks just around the corner.
This is the first Petit Palace we have stayed in and we really enjoyed it. Check in was pleasant, although the room was not available until close to 4, although check in is supposed to be at 2. They held our luggage for us, and we were able to go touring and have lunch. The rooms are not large, but they are modern and well laid out. A very nice touch to have free internet and a computer in each room, going online was a breeze. Phone calls from the room were stupidly expensive, avoid this at all costs, even local calls. The staff were very helpful, giving us maps and directions, telling us what we should see as first time visitors to Madrid, and doing a bit of translating of a phone message for us. Do not get the breakfast option. The dining room is only there because a hotel needs one; it is not worth going to.

We understand that calls are expensive from the hotel and do make sure that guests have the calls costs available to them at all times in the in-room information booklets. Stylish, quirky hotel in a good location.

Pros: The courtyard. The decor. The staff. The location.
Cons: Room we were in (115) was very noisy if we left the window open at night, so we didn't.
Location: Don't go to the cafe at the top of the square by the tube station. Food is terrible and it's v expensive.
Breakfast not included, but 10 euros is good value for a buffet with lots of different kinds of food, especially taking into account the cost of eating out in Spain which was surprisingly expensive.

Pros: Location
Cons: They should really check the condition of the room before booking it to guests.
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The location was superb with plenty of bars/restaurants in the area and few minutes walk to the metro (although we only used the metro once). As for comfort, unfortunately we were given a family room without a proper air conditioning and it was the most uncomfortable 2 nights we had in a 4* hotel (in the last 24 months, we traveled several times and stayed in more than 9 hotels - all 4 stars). To be fair they did transfer us to a different room with 4* quality in our last night (as they were fully booked the previous nights) although I was expecting more like a refund or discounted stay. They should really check the condition of the room before booking it to guests. I would still recommend this hotel to anyone as long as the hotel staff can guarantee that the air conditioner is working especially during summer.

Unfortunately there was a heat wave during your stay in Madrid and although the A/C was working correctly, the room you were in, being 35m2, is a bit more challenging to cool down on very hot days like that. Very good breakfast. Only negatives were that beds were not that comfortable and pillows were a little on the small side. Staff friendly and helpful.

Great Hotel

Pros: The rooms and location
Location: The hotel is in plaza Santa Barbara where you find bars open all night, restaurants and a Metro Station is there so you connect all Madrid
The location is the best, close to many cafes, bars, restaurants, etc. The room sizes are great, we traveled with our two children and the bunk beds were perfect . I recommend this hotel to everybody!!!

Great location, friendly staff

I like this hotel. It is simple and comfortable with excellent staff. The location is next to the Martinez metro station giving access to Serrano and Grand Via. It is also an easy walk to Grand Via, Sol, and Plaza Santa Ana. Just a bit further to Prado. The restaurants in the area are plentiful and some are quite good. I would happily stay again.
