“Luxury in Madrid”

This is a superb hotel. The location can't be beat and the rooms were clean,modern and big enough. The hotel is quiet in a very busy section of the city and the staff was outstanding. A hotel like this makes the whole trip better.

“Best deal I've had in Europe”

Clean, stylish, comfortable, amazing location near the Plaza Callao and Gran Via. Breakfast buffet was outstanding and reasonable at 15 EUR. Best shower I have ever had in a European hotel -- and one of the best I've come across anywhere.

“Great, centrally located, clean business class hotel”

The rooms are clean and reasonably well appointed, including a small mini-bar which was stocked with a variety of non alcoholic beverages. The A/C worked well. In general, the hotel staff was very helpful and spoke English well for those travelers who require it. We had a room on the fifth floor with a nice little balcony overlooking Calle Preciados. The hotel may be a little on the expensive side considering that the rooms could use a little updating, however the location is excellent. The Real Palacio is within walking distance, as are Plaza Mayor, Calle Brava Baja, Gran Via, etc. The Metro is easily accessible at Plaza Santo Domingo.

“Terrible Service”

Upon arrival in the afternoon I was asked to wait 20 minutes for the room to be ready only to discover that I was given a closet with no window (I’d booked a standard room and having stayed in many European hotels I thought I knew what a standard room should look like). I asked the manager if there was another, more spacious, room, and he reluctantly offered me a better one with a window, but I had to pay extra for that. The next thing I found out was that there was no bathrobe or slippers in the room (a bit unusual for a 4-star hotel). When I asked the front desk if they could bring them to me, a very arrogant young lady told me in Spanish that they were reserved for VIP guests only (???!!!). I eventually managed to get a robe, which later mysteriously disappeared from my room (?). The day before departure I placed a wakeup call for 6 am but instead was awakened at 5 am. At checkout I was charged for the minibar which I never used... In short, the hotel was a big disappointment.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. Walking distance to major siteseeing spots. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

This hotel was very reasonable, clean, and quiet, but centrally located. Got there around noon, and checked-in right away as I was traveling with my grandson and he was very jet-lagged, Beds and linens were comfortable, room small with a decor that is modern and simple. Bathroom clean and very nice. Small refrigerator with juice, beer and water that were free included in room. WiFi was complimentary and worked like I was home. Staff courteous and helpful. Great value for the money.
