“Great location, friendly staff”

The staff was extremely helpful. One of the gentlemen from the front desk even gave us a ride to the Plaza de Toros on his way home from the hotel. The price was very reasonable for the location and the rooms were comfortable. Highly recommended hotel.

“Great hotel with views of the Palace from windows.”

Plaza Espana metro station is next to Starbucks on la Gran Via (one of main streets with lots of cool shopping).

“great location and service”

This is a lovely hotel in a wonderful location with exceptional service. Restaurant is good for dinner, but breakfast was a disappointment. Interior maintenance a little slow and refurbishment a distraction. Would definately stay here again.

“Charm and Location”

This hotel was initially recommended by a friend and then we looked it up through Expedia. It was a charming hotel, clean, located within walking distance to the Royal Palace and the fabulous restaurant where we had dinner reservations. Nothing too extravagant, but european with a modern bathroom. The lifts were very small and somewhat slow. We opted to take the stairs.

“pleasantly surprized”

I was surprized by this hotel and Madrid. The hotel and staff were excellent. The bar was closed during the time I was there but that is not a big deal. Madrid is one of the best cities I have ever been in. I had a view of the Palace Real. All in all everything was very good.

“Good family place to stay”

Very quiet at night but some maintenance noise in daytime. This was a great find because it's hard to find room for four people (had four single beds) in Europe. It was air conditioned which you don't have in every hotel in Europe. Not a lot of frills but we weren't in the room that much anyway. Bus stop out front of hotel and subway stop a few blocks away.

“Affordable Tourist Class Hotel Close to Palais Royal, 20 mins to P. del Sol”

Clean rooms, good location to Metro (Principe Pio) and Royal Palace, although you do have to cross a busy road/highway. Not terribly charming, although if you get a good deal you won't be disappointed.

“OK value”

We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. All spoke good/decent english. Some rooms have wi fi - some don't so be sure to ask at check in if your's will. Wi fi was in the lobby as well. Room overall was OK - really needed new carpet, paint etc. Bathroom was newer - everything worked fine. Hot and powerful shower. Breakfast was a reasonable assortment for about 8 Euros.
