Sehr gutes Hotel - etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum

Posted May 27, 2015

Slechte locatie

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Goede kamer
Location: Slechte locatie!

Best place to stay in Europe

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: What I like the most was the design it has, it really is not a traditional hotel and should be admired for it.
Cons: More variety for breakfast
Location: Location is accesible, and has a metro station at a short walking distance.
Hotel is conveniently located in a privileged zone in Madrid, it has two metro stations at a short walking distance. The rooms are designed by different architects in every level of the Hotel, I guess there is one room for every person sarchitectural taste.

Looking at the pictures of the hotel on the internet, they looked larger than they actually were. Room did not have very much light. Food was good. All in all, satisfied.

Uniquement pour le design

Hôtel excentré du centre ville. Quartier populaire, peu éclairé le soir. Personnel peu agréable (anglais ou espagnol uniquement). Prestations limitées pour un 5 étoiles. Le + : design des chambres.

Hotel ottimo per congressi.

Posted May 9, 2015

Very stylish but not always practical

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: Looking at the different floors and the funky designs
Cons: The pillows! Complexity of controlling everything in rooms on floor 7. Style over practicality.
Location: A bit out of the centre but close to Metro.
Stayed for 3 nights over the May bank holiday in a room on floor 7. Each floor is designed by a different architect/designer and it is fascinating to take a peak at each floor from the lift lobbies. The floor 7 rooms look amazing, very space age with circular beds and very organically shaped bathrooms in bright red or white. There is a large bath with nice shower over, 2 sinks and a loo, but beware as the loo has a glass door much like a shower cubicle. There is a mirrored wall facing the bathroom facilities so you can observe everything including the loo! This did not bother me but the mirrors steaming up all the time and the lack of proper lighting in the bathroom were a nuisance. There is a remote control from which you operate almost everything including the blinds, lighting, tv etc. this was overly complex and despite being a technophile I found this tedious and at times just wanted to be able to simply switch something on or off. The real disappointment for me was the pillows; very uncomfortable. I expect better from a 5 star hotel. They brought different ones after I complained but not much better. I did not sleep well at all. The hotel staff were friendly, the small pool and steam room on the roof top are a nice touch. There are also a few pieces of gym equipment. The location is ok, a few minutes walk from Cartagena metro, although you do need to make a change or two to get to anywhere central (20 mins or so). The free hoteyl shuttle to the airport was good.

Nice design hotel in Madrid

Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: The room designs, outdoor bar, rooftop terrace.
Cons: Even though it's clean, it's beginning to feel a tiny bit tired. Could use a bit of refurbishing.
Location: Location is not the best. Close to airport, but a bit out of the way. Not ideal for first time tourists.
I had stayed before and the experience was equally good. Room service a little on the weak side, but otherwise a nice hotel with good service.
