avoid on weekends

Pros: Clean, modern, reasonable size rooms for the price, near Cuatro Caminos metro (30 minutes from the center, but direct to Atocha)
Cons: The "garden" is in the center and acts like an echo chamber. If people talk loudly in the lobby, you can hear it in the entire hotel.
Location: Good for meetings in the north of Madrid. 30 minutes from Atocha so not that good for tourists who want to visit museums in the center.
The hotel has a good location near the Cuatro Caminos metro, and the rooms are a reasonable size for the price and include a large desk. The hotel is modern, and the rooms are clean. My wife had an exam at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and this hotel is only 5 minutes away by taxi and also reachable by metro and by bus. The exam was at 9am, so we had to get up at 7am. The night before, the hotel had a wedding. It was very loud with music and drunk people talking loudly until midnight. We called the desk at 11pm, and they said that they would ask the people in the bar to be quieter, but 5 minutes later, they were loud again. Our room was on the 6th floor, and the hotel has only 7 floors, so our room was almost as far from the bar as possible. At midnight, they put the music very loud in the entire hotel, and I called, and they put it down, but the people were still very loud. My wife called again at 1am, 2am, 3am, and at 3:30am, she finally had enough and called the police. The police came about 4am, When the drunks saw the police, they left, and that solved the problem, but by then, my wife had not slept at all and still had to get up for the exam in 3 hours. We filed a complaint. When the manager wrote his part, he lied that there was no noise and that he was there (the people at the desk said that the manager was not working then) and he lied that he offered us 2 nights when he said only "I am sorry" and offered nothing but a free breakfast.

Great Find!

Pros: Clean, quiet, classy, peaceful.
Cons: Hid to make daily trips back to front desk for new working card key.
Location: Urban residential neighborhood
Pros:This hotel is a gem, and more elegant and classy than the online photos reveal. Quiet, peaceful hotel. Bed was incredibly comfortable, superior quality linens. The public spaces are lovely, the rooms are well appointed and spotless, The exercise room, while small, is very nice. Continental breakfast very generous. Little cafe on site is nice for a glass of wine in at the end of the day. Very close to Metro station Cuatro Caminos. Cons:The staff is not fluent in English, so communication was a little difficult. Could not get the subtitle feature to work on my television. My card key failed to function about once a day. These "cons" were minor inconveniences to me. Overall, great value, very pleasant week.

Good quality hotel & location

Posted May 4, 2011 on Hotels.com
Hotel spotless top to bottom, including the comfortable, spacious rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Location only 100 metres from direct metro to city centre ten minutes away. Hotel just 2 metro connections from airport, which takes about 35-40 minutes. Plenty of cafes etc in the hotel area, and supermarket. Based on what I saw in the city centre, this hotel is in a good, much quieter area of the city, and easy to get to all sight seeing locations. Couple of points that need attention ; Hot food served at breakfast could be much hotter, though there was plenty of variety for all tastes. If you like a drink at night time, remember that the Hotel Bar closes very early, 10.30 / 11.00, and that local supermarket won't sell alcohol after 9.00 p.m.

VP jardin Metropolitano in Madrid

Posted Oct 25, 2010 on Hotels.com
We were going to a soccergame at the nearby Real Madrid stadium so we only stayed for one night. For us the location was perfect, the hotel and the room was neat clean and friendly. The hotel has good access to the Madrid subway system as well as the airport train.
