“Perfectly located”
I spent one quick night but had a good experience. I needed a decent hotel, near the train station and close to the Prado and other museums. This worked out. It's within blocks from the train station and the museums are right around the corner. I had a glass of wine in the lobby bar and then was very pleased that they served food. So I was able to eat an early meal before going to bed in order to get up for an early flight.
“It's ok.”
Great location. Just across street from Atocha and metro station. Perfect place if you love to walk because is not in Gran Via or other main turistic places but very close by. Hotel facilities are just ok. The place is beautifuly decorated, rooms are pretty spacious considering that is in Spain. Bathroom nice but some extra cleaning will be great. Employees was just there to work. No special attention to us. Only one bellboy say hello or "hola" when we arrived. Spanish people are usually culturally rough so i didn't expect anything else. Next time, I will try somewhere else.
“Very nice hotel.”
It was a little far from the action. But quiet and comforting and high class.
“Wonderful Stay”
Spent the last night of a three week Spain vacation at the Paseo del Arte. Selected hotel because it is short walk from Atocha train station where we arrived from Sevilla in the late afternoon. Hotel is also very near the three major museums - next door to the Reina Sofia, and a short walk to the concentration of good restaurants in and around the Plaza Santa Ana. It is new - opened in 2006 - modern and very comfortable. Service was very good - when I was having trouble with their wifi they sent a guy right up who took care of it. Of course the fact that they upgraded my wife and I to a suite for our one night stay did nothing to undermine my already positive opinion.
“disappointed”
pros: - decent location close to museums and atocha train station - modern structure - reasonable room prices cons: - some of the staff members rude and do not belong in service industry - rooms full of dust - room furniture and mattresses not up to even ikea standards - bath tub leaks very badly into rest of bathroom - low quality and not enough toiletries provided - seedy neighborhood further up the hill, watch for pickpockets
“Excelent Location, good price, comfortable room”
The Location is marvelous. Near the museums, plaza mayor and calle huertas (where the night is alive every night). Close to el Barrio de las letras and all it´s restaurants, pubs and bar. You wil save a lot in taxis and metro. The hotel is comfortable.
“Great location. Will go back.”
We stayed at Husa Paseo del Arte for 2 nights. The rooms are as nice as they are shown in the pictures. Modern decoration, clean and comfortable. The windows are sound proof, which really helps us to have a good sleep. The hotel is very close (walking distance) to the three main musems: El Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen. It's also close to the Atocha Metro station. Best way to visit Madrid is by Metro, very easy to use. The hotel has WiFi but there's a charge based on minutes or per day but you start losing those minutes from the moment you pay, not when you actually use the service (we found this non-sense). They have a decent breakfast buffet but overpriced for what they offer. There are several cafes cross the street for a good Cafe con Leche and a Ham and Cheese Sandwich.
“Excellent location; expensive WiFi detracts from total package”
Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Atocha train station, which gives easy access to the Madrid Metro, Cercanías and long-distance trains. The top Madrid museums (Prado, Reina Sofía, Thyssen-Bornemisza) are also within a short walk. Finally, the Huertas and Sol districts (full of eateries) are also accessible on foot. The hotel itself is clean and efficient. The only weakness (especially as a business hotel) is the high cost of internet access.
“best location for Madrid”
Madrid: staid in Husa Paseo Del Arte, hotel is 2 min from Atocha metro, airbus costs 2 EUR (taxi 35) and gets you there in 20 min, just need to ask to stop at McDonald (or NH Nacional hotel) at Passeo del Prado. For me, the best location in Madrid, you could walk everywhere in the center from that place. The area is called “Art triangle” as there are 3 museums in that place (Prado Museum, the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum and the Centro de Arte Reina Sofía). Sofia is free after 2:30pm, do not spend 6 EURs if you have an option of free admition. That time is perfect to be inside anyway (too hot during the mid day). I am not big fun of contemporary modern art, so if you have the same feelings, you can skip this museum and save 3hours for other 2. The night life in Madrid is great; the small streets between our hotel and Plaza Major are very charming with a lot of restaurants, café and bars. Flamenco dancing show was not so great, to me not worth 35EUR, but that might be just because I was in a wrong place (club right near hotel).
“Highly recommend.”
Great location, good value and ideal parking for rental car onsite. We stayed at the hotel our first and last nights in Spain and were impressed both times.
