Great hotel, great locationPosted Jan 24, 2015
Very comfortable room and bed. Accommodating hotel staff - we were able to check out at 1pm, rather than midday. The best aspect of this hotel is the location - so close to everything!!!

Good hotel in Toursity AreaPosted Jan 10, 2015
Pros: The staff is excellent and very helpful.
The staff is excellent and the actual outside of the hotel and restaurant are very nice. The rooms are bit claustrophobic because we were staying in a room that was completely painted red--each floor's rooms are painted a particular color. Our window looked out into an alley so it felt like you were in a cave.

Five Nights in MadridPosted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: I really liked the staff and the bar/breakfast area.
Cons: The bed, although better than most, was a bit too soft after 5 nights.
Location: Central to Puerto del Sol, Chueca district, Plaza Mayor, Corte Ingles and connects to the metro easily.
The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. I would stay here again, especially because the location is so central to Madrid. The breakfast was amazing as well. Highly recommend this place.

Characterful hotel great locationPosted Jan 1, 2015
Nice decor modern blend of old and new with beautiful parquet floors and some features reflecting the age of the lovely building I couldn't fault anything and I am quite fussy about interior style and cleanliness I didn't eat there so can't comment but Staff very helpful and charming Nice rooftop bar

Love this hotel!Posted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: Good atmosphere, style, service, location.
Cons: Restaurant should be in tune with the hotel style and atmosphere; stylish, comfortable, but not pretentious.
Location: Location is great - walking distance to many museums, restaurants, attractions and other places.
This was my fourth stay at this hotel and I still absolutely love it! Located in a historical building it is designed in a stylish modern but still very warm and inviting way. I couldn't have done it better ;) The rooms are spacious and comfortable with high ceilings and attention to detail. The bathrooms are trendy and well designed, and there are plenty of towels, toiletries, a bathrobe, slippers etc, just everything you need to feel comfortable. Although located on very busy Gran Via, I was never overwhelmed by too much noise - the windows seem to work well. The common space on the ground floor is attractive and comfortable as well, and inviting for afternoon tea or a drink in the evening. Great for observing the huzzle and buzzle outside the window in a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff was always attentive and friendly and the breakfast buffet was great. The only thing that I cannot recommend is the restaurant. We decided to try it out one evening since we loved the breakfast, just to leave disappointed. They seem to try so hard to be super fancy (I guess it's the Michelin star), but the quality and taste just wasn't there. If you serve portions that small (Nouvelle Cuisine), then the food should be superb! Otherwise guests might feel a bit cheated with a pea and carrot slice in their stomachs and a large bill.......

This hotel is perfectly located, with great interior design, professional, friendly staff and "Al Trapo" restaurant that offers a wonderful culinary adventure. We would recommend it to anyone, anytime, without hesitation.

A recommander.
