November in MadridPosted Nov 29, 2013
Pros: Location and helpfulness of the staff
Location: In the centre of the Old District, the Prada, Museum Thyssen and Playa Major were all in walking distance. It felt very safe at night walking about.
We were very pleased with the hotel, the location was excellent, the staff very helpful and rooms comfortable. Our bedroom was over the street on the 4th floor but rather noisy at night. Our travelling companion was over looking a lightwell and was very quiet but rather claustafobic. Breakfast were expensive so we ate in nearby cafes. The Tapas bar was very good.

Location is ideal, just don't count on WiFiPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Clean, perfect bed.
Location: Perfect, Everything
This would be a 5 across the board if wifi was not such a nightmare to set up. They hand you a cryptic username/password that you have to enter on a web page, which seldom succeeds with some devices like a chromebook or a wifi-enabled phone. After much headache, 24 hours later the login expires and you have to start all over again. However, the room was sparkling clean, soundproofing awesome and service was great.

In the city of Madrid close to everything!Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Very spacious room and friendly staff who were very helpful and even sent our postcards for us!
Cons: No lilies in the lobby- I am very sensitive to strong floral/ perfume type smells and other guests might be allergic even
Location: Prado museum/ Royal Palace/ Gran Via with lots of shopping- was only there about a day and a half so we didn't get to all the sites
This hotel is close to all the sites/ shopping /restaurants and is very clean/ well appointed. Upon entering the hotel you are immediately greeted by the friendly staff (also speak English which is good cause my Spanish is very poor). Our room was a suite with a separate living area and had 2 tvs (not that we needed them)- 2 Balconies- free Wifi that was semi reliable- had to keep logging in as it would kick us off at times but that's trivial. The only thing I didn't like was that they had star gazer lilies in huge vases in the lobby which had a very strong floral smell which made me nauseated but luckily the rooms didn't have them so we just didn't linger in the lobby. Free coffee/ tea/ water also offered in the room. Would stay here again or even a hotel within this company. Had black out shutters on all the windows and there was minimal noise at night.

Lovely hotelPosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: Enjoyed everything about this hotel.
Location: Excellent location with plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.
Stayed one night in this lovely hotel. Living area downstairs and bedroom on mezzanine floor. Very spacious, modern and clean with large bathroom . Kettle with tea and coffee provided which seems to be unusual for most hotels in Europe but something we were very grateful for. Hotel in excellent location with plenty of bars and restaurants close by.

Disappointing small room with low ceilingPosted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: Nicely decorated and clean
Cons: There were many panhandlers in the area, when we sat outside to eat.
We stayed one night at the hotel and were disappointed with our room. It was the most expensive room we stayed in and the most disappointing. The ceilings were low, I could touch the ceiling and the room was small. I would not stay at the hotel again.

Perfect spot in central Madrid.Posted Sep 29, 2013
Pros: Perfect location, helpful staff. The room service was impressive - towels were changed twice daily & it was immaculate. Loved the junior suite.
Cons: Can't think of anything, the hotel staff was very helpful.
Location: Just around the corner from Plaza Santa Ana & right next door to Cafe Central (great jazz venue), short walk to all the major museums. Perfect spot!
This hotel is wonderfully situated, walking distance to Plaza Mayor and Puerto del Sol, 15 min walk to the Prado & Reina Sofia. The front desk staff were very helpful. The junior suite had a large sitting room with a 2nd floor bedroom. The linens were beautiful, and the room immaculately clean. Exercise room had treadmills and weights (no pool). Check out the jazz music right next door at Cafe Central - live music every night from 9-11 PM. Plaza Santa Ana (right around the corner) is a really lovely place to sit outside and watch all of the Madrillenos at night. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hotel in the perfect locationPosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Clean, beautiful, friendly staff
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.
Location: Close to all the major sightseeing spots, could walk everywhere from the hotel.
My husband and I recently stayed here for 2 nights. We loved it! The hotel is beautiful, looks recently renovated. Our room was big and spacious, and VERY clean. The location was perfect, close to everything and next to Plaza Santa Ana, which was the perfect spot to hang out at night after sightseeing during the day. We definitely recommend it and would stay there next time we are in Madrid.

The best way to end 2 weeks in Europe!Posted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: Room & amenities
Cons: better complimentary internet
Location: old city, restaurants, shopping, museums
This is a very attractively designed hotel in a great central location in Madrid, with easy access to taxis, shopping, the old city, and restaurants. The room was large, with adequate closet space and a massive comfortable bed. The bathroom was stocked with Bulgari products - a nice touch :) The complimentary internet tops-put at 100MB/day, which is enough for email and very limited browsing.
