Excellent value for moneyPosted Oct 28, 2013
Good location and very easy to get to the city centre with two metro station within five minutes walk. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfy. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast is an excellent value for money at 10.5 euros, if booked day before. The area is quite nice and Calle Alcala nearby has a few decent places to eat and drink. The city centre is about 15 minutes on the metro. With the price offered through Expidia this was an excellent place to stay for a few days in lovely Madrid. If you intend to spend your time exploring the city and comming back to hotel to sleap, have breakfast and shower, NH Parque couldn't be better.

Great hotel!Posted Sep 19, 2013
We arrived and Expedia had gotten mixed up and cancelled our hotel stay without us knowing. But the hotel staff still got us a room at the original price. Room was clean, comfotable and quiet. Good to see a hotel trying to 'go green'. great places to eat for cheep just down the street. Great walk to the main sites, only 20 to 30 min. Didn't use bus or metro our whole 4 day visit, just walked and enjoyed the life!

Very nice hotel.Posted Aug 29, 2013
Cons: Hotel restaurant dinner menu was very limited. Occasionally the bar staff were very slow.
Location: Very close to the city centre. So much to do in Madrid!
Lovely hotel. 5 minutes walk to the metro station and 10 mins into Madrid centre, worth the small journey for the pool. Breakfast buffet was amazing!

Good Location, Good PricePosted Aug 27, 2013
The hotel is located literally a 3min walk away from Ventas Torro the bullfighting arena (It is actually the largest in Spain) located at Ventas is the Metro stop which will connect you to the City Centre stop Sol in approx 10-15min, The hotel was very clean and professional with a lovely pool area although my only complaint would be the lack of lounging chairs, there is also a tennis court available for rent. We didn't try the restaurant/room service but the menu looked appetising. Located very close by are a few restaurant/bars although most were closed as they were away on their August holidays as is most of Spain, there is also a great supermarket and Burger King just round the corner if you are feeling like a greasy burger, Overall I absolutley loved Madrid and The NH Parque Avenidas, I would definitely recommend staying here and when I ome back to Spain I will stay again.

Not enough lounge chairs at pool...Posted Aug 3, 2013
With only a dozen lounge chairs at the pool, you seldom can get a chair and have to lay in the wet crabby grass. The pool guy is useless, he just hands out towels and he never attempts to get you a lounge or keep track of them. The Air Conditioner Never gets the room completely cool and when you ask for maintenance he never comes...but says he will 'manana'. The food is overpriced and not very good...and the service is awful in the restaurant. The city of Madrid is absolutely beautiful with amazing buildings in the Center and LOTS of hotels and restaurants. There are SO many hotels at the same price point as this one and many more that cost less...but few have a pool. I believe that most people that stay here are staying here precisely Because of the pool (certainly true in my case) and then to stay so far from the center with little choice of food and entertainment and then NOT to be able to lounge by the pool, the very reason you came, is Really frustrating!!! I could stay at a perfectly clean and decent hotel for half as much without a pool...I am paying FOR the pool and cannot even enjoy it because they don't bother to buy 20 more lounge chairs and get a decent pool man. If the room were cool it would be nice, a comfortable bed, a small fridge and coffee machine and Very Slow internet that constantly needs to be 'reconnected' and a new password every 24 hours. I will not stay here again and sorry I wasted so much money. It is a 25 minute bus ride to center.

Great for a couple or familyPosted Jul 18, 2013
Pros: Pool and location
Cons: Lack of sunbeds
Location: Excellent lovely and quiet
Great location about 5 mins walk to the tube station right by the bull stadium, then only about 5 stops from the centre of Madrid about 15 mins tube ride. Pool was great but only nine sun beds they need to double the amount. Staff friendly no complaints.

Good location, friendly staff, but HOT rooms!Posted Apr 25, 2013
Pros: Staff. Cleanliness.
Cons: Room temperature. Seasonal AC, which was not turned on.
Location: Close to bullring and metro.
Hotel is in a good location, close to the bullring and Metro. Rooms were clean but small. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is between seasons, and rooms was extremely hot! When I spoke to hotel staff, I was informed that the air conditioning was not turned on yet. The nights were temperate so opened windows widely to cool off. Unfortunately, outdoor noise level was extremely high so a good night's rest was elusive without earplugs. Would rate this hotel much higher if AC was on.

Quiet ResidencePosted Mar 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Madrid goes all-night. The Parque Avenidas is in an older suburb. High quality; quiet clientele. A great "business" hotel - not chock full of tourists. The average age of the guests was about 65 years. In the mornings, I went for runs in the neighborhood. Pretty area and no traffic. ............ It looks like it's far from the center but on the Metro, it's 4 stops from the Puerta del Sol - the heart of the action.

Ok hotel but a bit remotePosted Feb 13, 2013
Pros: Good but expensive breakfast
Cons: Too far away from the town centre
Nice basic hotel for the price although a bit dated, just too far from the centre of Madrid, a metro journey or €15 taxi ride from where you want to be!
