Exceed expectations. We'll definitely come back

Posted Jan 6, 2015
My husband (Spanish) and I (Japanese) stayed at One Shot Prado 23 for three nights over Christmas. The experience there exceeds our expectations and we will definitely come back to this hotel next time we visit Madrid. 1. Quiet & stylish room: we stayed in a court facing room that was perfectly quiet all day and night. The room is new, clean and refined with modern artistic decor. 2. Excellent location: comfortably walking distance both for the museums and the touristic city centre (Sol, Plaza Mayor). 3. Reasonable rate: we got 10% discount and paid around $90 per night on average as we booked through Expedia with a coupon code. Very good value for money. 4. Staff: attentive and friendly both in Spanish and English.

December 2015 stay

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: The complimentary espresso shots and biscuits, the in-room heater, and the location of the hotel is what I like about One Shot Prado.
Cons: An electric water kettle and mugs inside the room would be nice, and also 2 bottles of complimentary drinking water too.
Location: It's close to city center and restaurants. You can basically walk to any sites and attractions within 10-20 minutes.
Hotel room is minimalist and modern. The floor could be more clean. Also, the shower door doesn't fully seal and water leaks out when taking showers. Other then this, everything else is good!

Hôtel très bien situé, quartier "las lettras"

Posted Dec 28, 2014
Peu gênant si l'on voyage seul!

Super Hotel in super Lage

Posted Dec 17, 2014

great location, weird beds

Posted Nov 16, 2014
the hotel is within walking distance to the museums and many many restaurants. room is simple, modern and practical. friendly English speaking staffs. happy with everything except for the beds. Looks like a queen-size, but is literally two twin beds pieced together, with separate bed frames, mattress and blankets. each bed has wheels that moves around, and it's very easy for one to fall into the space between two beds.

Great hotel and location

Posted Nov 13, 2014
The hotel is modern, clean and quiet. The room is a good size. No English channels. Community espresso machine in hallway. A bit pricey when compared to hostals in area where you get all the same amenities plus more. Discovered hostals in Spain are regular hotels for less. This hotel is easily accessible to Prado and Reina Sofia museum and short walk to atocha train station or to Cibeles to take 24 hr airport bus.

Great location and hip comfort

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Couldn't ask for a location closer to the sights of Madrid. Rooms are very comfortable with colorful tiles in the bath and beds made for a good nights sleep. You can walk everywhere from this location--sights and great food/drink.

Good but not value for £

Posted Oct 25, 2014
Very friendly staff. Smart, clean room. But lacks a few finishing touches. A stylish hotel, and in a good area. You could get more for your money elsewhere if you were not fussed about the artwork.
