Best Location - Madrid

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: The location - right in the centre of Madrid
Cons: Would be nice to have a view out onto the square and maybe the rooms could be a tad bigger.
Location: Just off the Puerta Del Sol - but Prado Museum is 10 mins walk, Playa St. Anna, 6 mins.. all the best tapas bars and restuarants are at the other end.
Petit Palace Puerta Del Sol - good little budget hotel but in the best location if you want to be right in the centre with everything else less than 10 minute walk. The rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpfull. Highly recommend it if you are staying a couple of nights and not bothered about a view. Would stay there again.

Nice Hotel right in the middle of Madrid

Posted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: Central to everything
Cons: Needs a bit of TLC
Location: Near everything ( in walking distance) and i am disabled
Lovely stay ,right in the middle of all the action,Hotel now needs a little TLC. Rooms comfortable good shower ,no basin plug, light falling out of ceiling, fire alarm taped up cistern faulty, breakfast very good although hot breakfast needs improving, they say New York never sleeps this also applies to Madrid every night until 6am people in the street outside hotel singing playing musical instruments ,either take earplugs or ask for a room at back of hotel, saying all this would stay again .N o crime Police everywhere

Hotel in a great central location.

Posted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Hotel was compact and sufficient for a city stay. It was clean and comfortable and our room came with a shower. Breakfast was also sufficient.
Cons: Greater choice of food at breakfast.
Hotel is located in the heart of the city centre with numerous bars and restaurants nearby. The whole area was very clean and safe. Madrid was excellent for a 2/3 day break. Airport was approx 40 minutes by taxi and reasonably priced for 4 persons. We did not try the metro so unable to comment. Recommend the the Red Tourist Bus for to see all the best sights.

Functional, close to center

Posted Aug 9, 2013
Location: City center, just near the Opera and Plaza Mayor
Overall reasonable budget for the city, functional, good location. Downside: The shower stream was very weak, The public areas can be cleaner, the Wi Fi not always working, room very small. Staff is nice and attentive but not that knowledgable re where to go out and about. Price is a bit on the upside for this type of hotel & service.
