Fabulous location very mediocre hotelPosted Nov 24, 2013
Service was friendly and helpful. Food was just OK. TV didn't work and wi-fi was on again off again. For me what makes this a don't consider it hotel was the bed. It was a 4 inch mattress on a sheet of plywood. You can walk to best parts and sites of Madrid from this hotel and there is a great park across the street.

Clean, timely but ot fussy!Posted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: Hotel staff very bi- lingual, friendly and helpful. Were wonderful with directions and restaurant recommendations!
Cons: Could have used more staff at weekend breakfast.
Location: Perfect location! Across the street from the park, 2 blocks away from Museo Nacional Del Prado, 5 min from the shopping and restaurant scene in Sol.

Great hotel in excellent location.Posted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Style and location. Great shower.
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities in rooms and maybe a little table and an armchair. Conditioner in bathroom.
Location: Prado, Reina Sophia and Thysson art galleries all nearby. Beautiful large park right opposite. Not far from some excellent restaurants.
Excellent breakfasts. Staff very nice and helpful. Bedding immediately change when we noticed some dirty marks -apparently the 'fault of the laundry '. Stylish decor and within walking distance of the three main Art Galleries. Right opposite a beautiful park.

Pros: Breakfast was delicious
Cons: Sitting chair or area in the room

Great hotel with very nice location!Posted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: Very nice breakfast.
Cons: Beds are a little to firm. Bar was not open much.
Location: Great location. Very safe!
We had several rooms located close too each other for several family members. We found the rooms to be very clean and better than they were pictured in website. Staff was very friendly and helpful! We were in Madrid for our sons wedding. He had a suite that overlooked Retiro Park that was superb. The view was incredible. Great place to stay and great rates.

Nice hotel, close to the main attractionsPosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: I liked everything except the bed mattress
Cons: The beds were hard that hurt my back. I've mentioned this to the hotel agent but she said that the hotel is new and this what they have ordered ?????
Location: see above
It was for one night as I was in transit with my family. We took the family room, King bed and a bunk bed for the kids The room design was beautiful and very clean. The room had a laptop and internet access included. It is close to Plaza Mayor and other Plazas. Also close to the train and 15min from the airport. across the street from the hotel, the red Madrid tour bus stops.

Very Nice!! you wont regretPosted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: Location, cleanness, close to RENFE station
Cons: breakfast! breakfast room!!
Location: close to most of the museums, Petro Del Sol and more basically walking distance to many places. Metro is close. nice restaurants around
coming from California, I am little picky about hotels. This hotel is clean, comfortable, very nice and unusual shower, roomy, free wi fie, nice design, not noisy, very nice and helpful staff. negative about this hotel is: breakfast and shower door. Shower is open. You need extra towels to keep the floor dry. Breakfast was too old and the breakfast room is too small and unpleasant. There is a nice coffee shop 3 minutes from hotel. I had a great time in Madrid and loved this hotel.

Nice HotelPosted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Loved the location - right in front of the gates of El Retiro and a walking distance to most of the sights like Plaza Mayor and Sol. Would stay again.

Very sterile accommodations. No warmth.Posted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: The young ladies at the front desk were so helpful and friendly, they gave this poor hotel some redemption.
Cons: As for the family room you need at least a good sized bathroom with counter space, better lighting no flimsy bunk beds and furniture.
Location: By Retiro Park & Atocha Station but according to the taxi drivers you should walk there and drag your luggage for about 9 blocks. Now thats a vacation
I booked a family room for four, my two adult sons, my husband and myself. I felt like I was put in a box. The window view was air conditioning units, very depressing view, plus someone put a creepy gremlin doll out there it was hanging from a string beneath a window, across from our window. So we renamed it the Gremlin Hotel. We never pulled the curtain for the view was unappealing and the voodoo doll was creepy. The bathroom was not functional for us, the sink was extremely small, the sink would get clogged and the shower area seemed unsafe all glass with no reinforcement around the edges of the glass if you hit it a certain way by accident, I'd hate to see anyone get hurt, I guess that is their idea of high tech. Just not comfortable at all. I really thought from the pictures and reviews that I had picked the right hotel for us, the bunk beds were uncomfortable and flimsy like something you would buy at IKEA. Lots of laminate dressers and closet. Just sad. I felt sad for us. Thank God it was for only 3 days as we were going to Nerja, Cordoba, Granada and Pamplona. We were suppose to return to Madrid to the Gremlin but I cancelled and found another hotel for our last two days before leaving for Italy. Another minus is it's location to the Atocha station, I thought that would be a good thing but try getting a taxi driver to take you there, it's not far enough for them to make a profit and they don't want to take you even it you are a family of four with luggage.
