Simple hotel in the center of MadridPosted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Location; staff; price
Cons: Shower drainage needs improvement. Breakfast could use some fruit and boiled eggs.
Location: Right smack in the middle of Madrid. Easy walk to all the museums and hundreds of restaurants and cafes.
We stayed for 11 days in a room with private bath and view of the Plaza del Sol. Best location in Madrid--you can walk to everything. Rooms are simple and beakfast lacks variety , but for the price the experience was unbeatable.

Okay for all ages.Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: You have to take the elevator to it. It's on the 4th floor. No one is going to come in off the street to cause trouble here.
Cons: Each room has its own sink, but the bathrooms with showers are in the halls. That's not a problem; the problem is the way some people leave them.
Location: Uf, not enough space here. Lots to do and see. Plus, the Vodafone Sol Metro station is nearby.
Plaza Puerta del sol is smack in the middle of where the action is in Madrid, Spain. People of all ages stay here. It is very comfortable and very safe.

Basic, but perfect in many waysPosted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Location couldn't be better. Clean, comfortable, nice staff.
Cons: It is a specific kind of thing. The rooms could be nicer, etc - but then it wouldn't be what it is. Its basic, clean accommodation in city center.
Location: It is in the very center of the city steps away from the major metro stop, and the plazamayor area. Within walking distance of a lot to do.
Very basic, but clean rooms in old detail filled building right in center of city. Very, very basic, but perfect if you need a place to stay in city. Make sure you know what you want. This isn't a room to enjoy as a resort. Its a room to enjoy the city from.

Madrid PridePosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Staff, my room and overall ambiance.
Cons: The breakfast. I would like to have had the choice of having brown bread.
Location: Central. You could not get any central to this hotel and five mins walk from Cheuca.
I stayed in the Puerto Del Sol rooms for three nights. What a pleasant surprise it was for a hostel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I booked a single room en suite which contained a double bed. The room came with Air conditioning, toiletries and white fluffy towels changed every day.Continental breakfast served every morning with fresh coffee available throughout the day and night. Over all I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely day there again. Plus its right in the city centre with the metro stop Puerto del sol right outside the hostel.

Puerto del Sol Hotel in MadridPosted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: The location, convenience, the price, and although small, the comfort.
Location: The hotel is located right at Sol, "location Zero", or the point of origin for any direction in Madrid. Many stores, restaurants, etc. are nearby.
The hotel was very centrally located, right at the Sol train & Metro station. The elevator made coming and going much easier, since the rooms are on the 3rd and 4th floors. Rooms and facilities were clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

Good cheap hotel, utterly centralPosted Jun 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Incredibly central - our room had a view of Puerta Del Sol including a demonstration for a referendum (20 000 people filling the square, and the last phases of construction of a new Apple store immediately opposite. With a roll-down shutter and double glazed door to our balcony, it was possible to obtain quiet whenever we wanted. Breakfast was basic but sufficient, and hotel overall was great value. No problem that we checked in at 1:30 am - we phoned in advance.

Great Location, Great Service, Great PricePosted Jun 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
Booked this hotel for the location only, was expecting it to be poor- was very wrong! Great budget hotel in an amazing location. I room was in the courtyard which was very quiet when thinking about the central location. Good breakfast. Room was very basic (but very good for the price!) but very clean- didn't expect to get what we got for the price. Would stay here again. The staff had excellent English and were very helpful. Thank you for a great stay!

Centrally located budget hotel.Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: Great value for money. Clean, comfortable and helpful staff. Superbly situated in the centre of the city.
Cons: Electrical wiring in room needs attention- looked like a poor DIY job.
Location: Location couldn' t be bettered as hotel is on the Puerta del Sol which is the hub of the city with a Metro station and buses to all parts of Madrid.
Excellently located on Puerta del Sol this budget hotel is rather shabby but the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower hot. The staff were very helpful and the Continental breakfast was very good with a selection of cereal, toast , cheese, ham and salami and unlimited tea, coffee or chocolate. This hotel offers fantastic value for money for anyone who just wants somewhere to stay while they explore Madrid.

Relaxed HotelPosted May 18, 2014
I thought the hotel staff were friendly. There is an informal, relaxed atmosphere and the hotel is brilliantly, centrally located. Breakfast is as much as you want to eat. Value for money. I would definitely stay there again.
